Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Fair enough - I guess two somewhat smaller dogs with shared strategic priorities does not a pile make.
Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Do you mind if I claim Aethiopia instead of Nubia? Although it has to conquer a couple of regions in order to get a land border with Ptolemy, it starts the game with a far stronger economy and has no trouble expanding fast, so I don't think it has less of a chance of impacting the game overall.
Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
These are good points- added you as Aethiopia. I never played either them or Nubia, and thought it was just good to have someone on that side of the world.
One more minor nation and one Macedonia and we're good to go.

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Please add me as Arverni. I think I may be getting too many games to play, when counting my FoG2 battles too, so I may have to end some of my games, particulalry the ones that are dying.
Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Added you as Arverni. I only play the other field of diplomacy game and will this one if it ever starts, otherwise the games take too much time.

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Any takers for a Macedonia either from existing minor nations or anyone else? So far there's been a lot of great people who signed up, so the game promises to be good!
Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Can the game be created already? I'll lbe off for a week after sunday so i would probably miss the startup and therefore be left out if its only created by then.
Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Ok, will create the game tonight (5 pm GMT). Will leave only open nations as ones that people signed up for here plus Macedonia because we need them. Be ready!

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Seems like demand for arranged foge mp games has cooled off. I prefer these as the games feel more tangible and meaningful, but they can be difficult to get going.
I'll wait a few more days for a Macedonian player to express interest here to join and if we can't find one, unfortunately I'll have to cancel the challenge. There's other non-arranged password-free games out in the FoGE lobby for those that still want to play.

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Just a suggestion:
Lets wait two more days. If there is noone for Makedonia, I might take it. Have already signed in for Sarmatia, but I would surrender at first turn and continue as Makedonia. I think we dont need Sarmatia. I might take it in any other game somewhen later.

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
You don't need to surrender later- you can just leave the challenge now (or in 2 days) and then rejoin as Macedonia using the same password. Thanks for the offer!
And we have the other problem that our Rome player (SpeedyCM) hasn't joined the game yet.

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
Sorry mate away this week and been working 12+ hour days, only just checked the forum for first time in 3 days I will join now.
Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
No worries and thanks for following up! Playing is my relaxation after a long day so I bring a laptop everywhere.
So waiting on a Macedonian player now and we should be good. Things are looking up.

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
If Rufus would rather keep playing Sarmatia, I can also change from Dacia to Macedonia. I think Sarmatia might have a bigger impact on the game, especially early on, than Dacia... Let me know

Also, I'll chip in that we could change Sparta to Macedonia if need be.

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
I'll let you guys figure it out between yourselves who'll switch to Macedonia. As soon as we have one switch to them, we can start the game.

Re: Field of Diplomacy: Winds of Change
I'll be the last choice option as a greek nation might make things more interesting.
