Lunecastle (Byzantine with Georgian Ally) beat Bomber23 (Moravian 833-907 AD with German ally) 64-50
The Moravians crushed the Byzantine infantry but the far reaching Byzantine cavalry saved the day.

Division C
Fikabo (Jewish with Romans) defeated Tresantes (Pyrrhic) 49:18
In this game I splitted my army in two parts. Stronger part (Legions and Thureophoroi) have to fight with Pike phalanx (and skirmishes with rest skirmishes, horses, medium foot) so I plan to delay fight and set defence on hill.
Second part (most my skirmishes, elephant and horses) I plan to destroy other enemy horses and Italian foot and then help first part attack Pikes. In reality second group have trouble to help first because of Pyrrhic sent reinforcements from first group.
Pyrrhic also decide to attack uphills first group. Because of hill advantage and some my flank attacks (possible because of Pyrrhic horses were engage in pursuing of Skirmishes and some go to second group) I destroy 2 or 3 Pike phalanx and win.

Division C
fikabo(Polish with Vikings) defeated Rob123 (Indian) 44:13
The Indians were in 1/3 hidden in the forests they had on both wings.
My troops were waiting on the hill. Because the Indians wisely did not eager to attack after blocking the troops in the forest, my troops attacked. Because in centre was mostly open terrain (except stream near hill) my heavier units had an easier task, but despite this and result it was not an easy battle to win.

Division D
rs2excelsior (Roman) beat cromlechi (Egyptian) 61-51
A tough battle to the end, with Roman quality up against Egyptian quantity. The battlefield was split by a stream, with a large, rough hill dominating the center of the Egyptian position. The Roman legionnaires and elephants deployed on the left, across from the level, open ground, and placed their medium troops (thureophoroi, scutarii, and falxmen) against the Egyptian hilltop position. The Roman legionnaires advanced into a hail of arrows and a forest of spears, but made contact and began cutting their way through Egyptian formations. Eventually, the Roman medium foot got tired of being shot apart and advanced as well. Egyptian troops managed to get some flanks off through sheer numbers, and brought their good quality hoplites into action from the hilltop, where they caused quite a few problems for the depleted legionnaire cohorts. The Roman medium foot managed to tie up some Egyptian forces which would have otherwise continued putting pressure on the Roman main body, and the legion managed to stabilize the front and push the Egyptians over the 60% mark. It was a bloody, hard-fought victory, which left a victorious but severely depleted legion on the field just before nightfall.
A screenshot of the final battle line, perpendicular to the initial clash: GG to cromlechi, hard fought to the end.

oscarius (Romans) beat Breogan (German/Gothic) 43 - 16
Standing out in particular was the performance of a legionary cohort that no man would describe as 'mediocre', breaking three warbands in a single turn. A short, fun and dramatic game that wouldn't have been out of place in a Hollywood movie.

Division D
vakarr with Classical Thracian 680-461 BC plus Classical Greek Allies beat cromlechi - Egyptian 405-343 BC, 42 - 12
An interesting game where the Egyptians had a nice range of hills to occupy, just perfect for their army. The Thracians occupied one other giant hill and flank marched across it, disappearing into a wood. The Egyptians came at the Thracians, forcing the Thracians to divert many of the flank marchers to defend the rear of the Greeks, who were marching across the valley through the storm of arrows to meet the spearmen on the hill. The Greek allies held the Egyptian centre long enough, despite being assailed by superior numbers of mercenary hoplites, so that the Thracians were able to get around both flanks and win the game just as the Egyptians began to pour through the centre of the line. Egyptian archery was effective on occasion but the Thracian spearmen were too much for them in the end - the Thracian army had minimal cavalry and light infantry to ensure they weren't overwhelmed by numbers. Thanks for the game, it was a bit disconcerting to see Egyptian units going down like flies and the winning percentage barely moving upwards, that army can surely take some punishment!

Biblical Division B for Boisterous
Barrold (Boiotian League) ran into a time limit against lunecastle (Assyrian) 57-44
Now this was a battle.
I sent my stronger hoplites to the left while placing my citizen hoplites in a refuse flank line to try and anchor as much of the Assyrians as possible. My thought was to gain local advantage in the assault of a significant hill where many archers and spearmen were ensconced.
My refused flank forced the better quality Assyrian cavalry and chariots to take a long and circuitous route to the rear of my assaulting force. I attempted to harass the cav with skirmishers with limited success.
The assault managed to clear the hill with great difficulty as the archers stuck around far too long. My much depleted force was able to turn in time to face the late arriving cav and chariots. In the meantime my citizen hoplites were free of their flank duties and were able to move towards the main battle and essentially prevent the secondary Assyrian troops from falling onto my weary line from flank and rear.
Great game and thanks for the challenge lunecastle.
