Order of Battle: World War II - v8.4.4 Update
We're releasing a new update for the game, bringing it to version 8.4.4. This one mostly consists of fixes, but we took advantage of the update to add more content to the community crate.
Four scenarios were added, three singleplayer and one for multiplayer.

Author: Bru
German renegades, Austrian resistance fighters, and French prisoners unite in battle to turn back a Waffen SS assault on a stronghold in Tyrol, Austria.
Operation Dragoon
Author: Conboy
The invasion of Southern France by VI Corps and the First French Army.
Battle of Midway

Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.4.4 Update
Why do I always get this message when I’m not connected to internet with the slitherine version ?
Why did the update create a new installation folder ?
I have two installation files of 2.50 Go.

Thanks for getting patch out fairly quickly! RE the Disband unit issue, button is there but I don't see the amount of points you get for disbanding. It used to state you would get "x" points for the disband. Is anyone else not seeing this also???

I have never used this function before, does not seem very interesting in terms of resources obtained. I’ve always kept all my units in case.

Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.4.4 Update
terminator, yeah it's working but if I recall correctly it would actually give you a value (+3) instead of a vague "some of it's remaining value". It's not a huge deal, would be nice to know and I was just curious if anyone else was seeing this.

Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.4.4 Update
Hi and thanks for the update.
Currently playing Red Steel Campaign.
One problem tough ... I cannot upgrade units anymore. When clicking the upgrade button ... no window appears.
Is this only me having this problem?
edit:
just found out:
starting the next sceanrio -> choose unit -> click upgrade button and window pops up.
variant a) when I upgrade the unit everything is ok and I can uprage all other chosen units.
variant b) when I DO NOT upgrade the unit and leave the pop up I cannot open the upgrade pop up on any other unit anymore.
Hope that helps to find the error

Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.4.4 Update
Do either of you have a save game where it's happening reliably?
We've not managed to get this upgrading issue to happen repeatably, which makes it very hard to find and fix!

Yes, I have a save game just before "Wintergewitter" where it happens. Units were imported from the Red Star Campaign.
Pls tell me the location of the file and I am happy to send it.
cheers

Hi,
Your save games are in:

1. After destroying the bunker displayed this..
2. Unfortunately I didn't manage to make a second print screen. but with the destruction of the wooden bunker, the whole bunker was still displayed, but with smoke

I don't, unfortunately. I ended up restarting my computer and game, and it has been working fine since it occurred last night. If it happens again, I will send you the save game file.

Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.4.4 Update
Hey folkses,
I am *very much* enjoying the Market Garden mega-Scenario, Market Garden, in my view, is an often neglected or poorly implemented campaign (in its own right). Usually the map too small, or there is neglect of the criticality of the OOB and reinforcement cycle and sometimes a lack of understanding of the tension of the timing of the battle against the clock which was a reality on the ground and makes it as a game so compelling when done right.
The new player crafted interpretation of Market Garden in this new patch so far appears to tick most of these boxes. If it is balanced well and achieves the tension of getting the armour up to Arnhem in time to relieve the Paras' just before they surrender or are eliminated, it would be one of the best adaptions I have played since I played the game on the Spectrum...
However my question is: is there any way that I can play this as a single player game?
It is designed as a co-op game, 2 players vs AI, so three factions, (Two Allied and the Germans). I am managing to play both it by playing both Allied factions as a Multiplayer game and re launching the game between turns. It works pretty well, but it is slow progress and very 'clicky' and immersion breaking to have to re-launch the game each turn.
Is there any possibility in the future of an alternative single player mode or else does anyone know of a way perhaps via the editor that I can merge the two Allied factions into one team so I can play it that way? I can't see how this would do any harm as the Allies play next to each other in the turn cycle and are not split by the German AI turn, hence I can't see how merging them would impact the game-play or balance.
best wishes and stay safe.
Steve
