New Computer - Delays Possible
My computer died unexpectedly today and I've had to get a new one. It may be a day or two before I get everything sorted out and have time to play FOG2, so a universal notice of possible delay to all my opponents.

ConstantinIX - Byzantine 551-578 AD beat nyczar - Roman 425-492 AD with Frankish 260-495 AD allies 41 : 0
This game was the strangest I have ever played
The first six rounds see some positioning movements. My left cavalry flank was facing the enemy cavalry whereas infantries were facing each other at my right flank.
Then, an enemy general cavalry charged his equivalent near the center quickly reinforced by another cavalry unit. The rest of the enemy cavalry units move to support and flanck the ongoing fight.
The following was a dream.
All my cavalry went to charge and a full evading mouvement took place leaving the two opponent cavalries vulnerable to flanck attacks and a cataphract quite isolated. Next turn, both cavalry units became fragmented and they disbanded the turn after propagating routs orders to the nearby units and triggering some automatic opportunity flanking attacks. At the end of turn eight, 35 % of the army was routed. At turn 9, the cataphract fell along whith a javelin light cavalry allowing me to reach the 40 % treshhold. Honestly, I can't claim the full responsability as the god of war was clearly extending his blessing on my army as noone could have predicted the erratic movements : one of my "bersekers" calvary units skewered (in an automatic mode) and disbanded three units in two turns !)
Sorry for Nyczar who didn't deserve such a score.

A great game from my opponent. After crushing my cavalry flank with his, I thought I was done... but my opponent predicated my elephants might turn it around. He was right but it required quite a number of events going the right way.
Thanks for the game - you deserved 2 or 3 points out of this match for sure!

ConstantinIX - Byzantine 551-578 AD beat XLegione - Roman 197-284 AD with Arab 312 BC-299 AD allies 68: 44
Difficult game : an early flaw in the right enemy flank allowed me to disband it with some successive flank attacks whereas my opponent crushed my comitatentis on my own right with the mighty power of legios. A last won battle with the remaining cavalry units of each side sealed the fate of the roman army.
Thanks for the game

Well played. Lots of rough and difficult hills figured in this battle - medium foot fighting disordered on a difficult slope for turn after turn!

kraff (Seleucid 124-63 BC) beats snooky51 (Carthaginian, Hannibal in Italy, 216-203 BC with Samnite 355-272 BC allies) 44-3
It seems I got more luck than snooky51. A few fortunate disruptions and fragmentations ultimately led to a chain rout and further disruptions, which only helped me to break morale of his crack troops. Snooky51's Carthaginian veterans' performance was underwhelming.
Thanks for the battle, snooky51.
