How do we delete Saved games?
How do we delete Saved games?
Hi again,
I can't seem to find an option to delete saves. I don't see them in the game directory or user documents either.
Thanks!

Re: How do we delete Saved games?
You can find your save files at the following location on Windows:
Depending on your Windows installation and your personal setup, the actual location that resolves to is different, but entering that path exactly into Explorer or into the Start Menu search bar should take you there. If not, you'll probably find it at something similar to its default location at (Vista and newer):
Code: Select all
%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Every Single Soldier\Vietnam 65\saves
Code: Select all
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Every Single Soldier\Vietnam 65\saves

Re: How do we delete Saved games?
Is there any way, other than reinstalling, to start with a new character or uniform?
Re: How do we delete Saved games?
There's no way to do this in-game right now, I'm afraid, but you can do it manually depending on which version of the game you're playing. If you have the standalone version, purchased directly from Slitherine, then you can simply delete the two files you'll find at the following path: (It's one level up from the path from my previous post above. The two files should be called achievements.sav and stats.sav).kaleun wrote:Is there any way, other than reinstalling, to start with a new character or uniform?

If you have the iOS version of the game, the only way to restart your progress is to delete and reinstall the app.

Re: How do we delete Saved games?
With the update you will be able to name and delete your save games from inside the game (thanks Chippit)
Re: How do we delete Saved games?
Well, On windows 7 I can't seem to find the path to the save games. (To do a fresh restart under the patch)
Re: How do we delete Saved games?
I have looked everywhere, but no joy on finding the location of the saved games.
It is the Matrix version for PC, not Steam.
I run the game on a Tower with win xp pro 32 bit, Pentium 4 cpu 3.2GHz, 4gb ddr2 ram,Geforce 610 1 gb.
My files are stored:
c:\Slitherine\Vietnam 65\

Re: How do we delete Saved games?
Someone remembered...
"If you cannot find the game's folder in Documents\My Games then we must have left the save game location at its Unity default, which is C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow - it's a hidden folder so you may need to change your Windows settings to make it visible. If I remember correctly the folder names within LocalLow might be a bit cryptic but you shall be able to find the savegame there."
In Win 7 I had to find out how to show hidden files, then check the time I made the saved game and locate the file. Using the time/date made the task easier.
Then I searched through notepad text and edited the file.
Loaded the game and ran the file. All ok with the new edited version.
