If you have pre-ordered the Field Marshal edition of Panzer Corps 2 on Steam you have now 48 hours of time to play Panzer Corps 2 in advance.
Are you ready? Just right click on Panzer Corps 2 in your Steam library and click on Install.

We are very interested in hearing what you think. If you have any feedback for us, don’t forget to let us know and post about it on the forum.
Panzer Corps 2 is almost there, but there are a few things which are still missing in the game.
We have prepared a full list of what still needs to be included, and will be added before release on March 19th.

Content and features missing in 0.9.14, but included in 1.0

- The game is available in English only right now. The Release version will include all localizations (English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, Chinese, Polish, Brazilian).

- Tutorial is still “work in progress” and will be given a lot of additional polish. Texts will be improved, more messages added, improved message triggers and more. The game manual needs to be finished and is missing screenshots.

- Random maps are not playable in Multiplayer in the current version, but they will be playable in the release version.

- Replay feature. Right now, it is impossible to watch finished games in Replay mode, but it will be included in the release version.

- Unit history (kill statistics and list of events) is not included yet but will be included in the release version.

- The Mission result screen will be enhanced with "change difficulty" and "review battlefield" options.

- Steam Achievements will be added

- Steam Cloud saves will be added

- Minor tweaks and improvements in AI and random map generator will continue till the very release. Random maps will get a few more additional options (e. g. what units are available, by year).

Audio:

- Many sounds effects are still temporary / placeholders, and sound effects for things like aircraft movement, bombing, Stuka siren, rocket launchers, UI button sounds still need to be included. In the final release version all these sound effects will be included.
- Voiceovers for all briefings in the main campaign will be added (English only). Tutorials and single scenarios will not be voiced.
- Not all music tracks are in place yet. Out of 6 in-game tracks only 3 are present. Only German Victory and Defeat themes are included (in the release version we'll have separate themes for Allies and Soviets too)

Animations:

There will be some improvement in unit animations as well, in particular bombing raids, naval guns, torpedo attacks, depth charges from destroyers. Infantry animations will be reviewed and various glitches fixed.

Scenarios:

- Three more single scenarios will be added:

Gothic Line (GB, US forces in Italy, August 1944)
Prague Offensive (Soviet forces, May 1945)
Lorraine (US forces in France, September 1944)

Known issues

- In strategic mode selection and target markers are not properly aligned with aircraft. Flags in strategic mode are hard to see.

- In Multiplayer certain sections like "advanced options" and "ingame menu" show options which only apply to single player. These options will be removed for MP.

I've just started playing the Game, and as yet... i don't have anything 'Earth-Shattering' to bestow upon you, but...here is what i do have so far!.

Rebasing' Rebase: ```When pressing the "N" Key on the keyboard to "Rebase" an aircraft...why-not also have a 'Visual-Indicator' to assure the player that ... In-Fact...that the "Rebasing-Function" or 'Mode/Operation'...is actively in its execution process. The player will then affirmatively know that this is not the time for a regular combat flight.
Suggestion: Use a temporary yellow flashing 'Airstrip-Icon' underneath the Aircraft where the 'Rebasing' will be taking place from to do just that.

Print Size:... is an issue for myself personally!. Perhaps some-kind of tool could be incorporated into this game to attend to this vexing situation...to make reading print and scanning over statistical information icons much easier!. Perhaps as an idea....put a small access tool "nearby/right beside" such information nodes...to allow the "User"... to temporarily increase the size of the said object or situation... to something like 50-150% larger for easier view-ability.

Save Game: It works just fine!, but...for myself i have little use for the 'AutoSave-function' in that ...it just unecessarily clutters up the 'Save Game' box...which is what i would rather do without. I prefer to make up my own 'Save Game' system.
I would like to see an adjustment selector, so that i can then choose as to how many 'Auto-Saves' that i would like...if any at all.

That feature list needs its own sticky. That's actually really helpful to know exactly what is coming for 1.0.

For random scenarios allow setting a scenario start date. As is right now random start units are very unbalanced. Such as US M5 Stuart light tanks up against Russian Stalin IS2 heavy tanks.

Just so you know, there is an option to hide/show auto-save and manual save files to reduce clutter on the Load Game panel. I always save my initial deployment, for example, so I can restart the scenario with a slightly different deployment to try a different strategy.

1. Could the Flags in 3D mode be a bit larger?
2. Don't notice Flags in 2D mode.
3. Game Objectives are hard to tell apart from ordinary centers.
4. Where are available slots displayed?

Did anyone else notice map-tearing while scrolling? idk if it is working as intended atm. i do have a 144hz Monitor (MSI Optix MAG241C) wired to a GTX1070 - but also a 2nd Monitor that doesn't support 144hz.
It might just be a Nvidia Driver error but i think that i got the latest driver version.

More Minor Festering Issues To Report!:

Regarding my previous statement... " Use a temporary yellow flashing 'Airstrip-Icon' underneath the Aircraft where the 'Rebasing' will be taking place from to do just that".

The reason why I mentioned that, is because... when I first started playing 'PzC2.. all I saw...was a 'Yellow Shapless Blotch' under my AirCraft when I was starting to 'Rebase'. Of course...after I had made that statement, when I returned to the Game, then...and only then...did I notice some poorly defined image of an Airstrip Icon (Partially Obscured by the Aircraft of course ) under my Airplane when I was doing my 'Re-Basing'.

I have noticed a few more instances of that very same situation for other pertinent items. The last one that I encountered was when I was in 'North Afrika'... I couldn't locate another Airfield with which I could use to 'Rebase' my airfleet!. So then in the ensuing several turns I got bashed, battered and smashed by the British Air Units until I took what it think it was...was 'Bengazi'???...anyway...after I was severely butchered by the British Airforce and took 'Bengazi'... then...and only then did I notice this obscure Airfield on the Strategic map. During the Game, it was hardly noticeable to me otherwise in the opening stages of that Scenario.

So what I'm getting at is..."please" if you can...try to make these items more "dicernable /obvious"...because when a player is playing, they are riveted/affixed on the action in the game...and unfortunately some of that regular 'Peripherial Vision....just seem's to cut out when it comes to picking up on some of these less than obvious displayed game features.

Because of inconveniences like work and sleep, I was only able to log 7 hours of play time during the Feb. 18-20 window and I wanted those hours to be spent on playing the game, not reviewing the manual or editor or such.

Some of my early thoughts:

Hot key/Keyboard shortcuts for basic things that PC1 had like ctrl+s for saving and N for next unit among others. I find it faster than doing everything with a mouse. If they do exist, they must be changed from what they were in PC1.

I do not like the unit stat displays. Too small, and while I appreciate the idea that you can always have it open to the side (no right mouse clicking necessary), it is too slow, small, and difficult to quickly reference compared to its predecessor. A long linear list takes effort to find the stat you're looking for, especially when its small.

Units look good, but sometimes I found it difficult to notice which hexes aircraft were in when trying to send your fighter, for instance, to engage an enemy aircraft. Maybe this just takes getting used to and I only had this problem with air units, not ground units.

And lastly, this is neither good nor bad (yet), but I am still getting used to the differences in experience growth and its effect on the unit's performance. I only nearly completed the Belgium scenario in the campaign mode, but I noticed a difference in how quickly/slowly units acquire experience and how much it improves their combat effectiveness. It seemed more obvious and faster in PC1 and in the PGs games.

Overall, I like it and can't wait to play more. Once the DLC's were available for PC1, I never played the vanilla campaign again. I am very interested in seeing what the DLCs hold in PC2's future!

I played Panzer Corps 2 in the Beta pre-order trial. I don't understand why there is a delay when I select a unit to move and place it where it is to go , there is a delay in the action. Can anyone tell my why?

I didn't experience any delays when I moved a unit. I suppose it could have to do with what one considers being a "delay", but perhaps it's a performance issue with your computer?
