Re: Hellenic Legacy

I tried Syracusae again on Very Hard and repeated my 7th place finish. Persia and Egypt held the top two positions as usual. I concentrated on Culture for the special Legacy buildings, but that wasn't any better than before. I has tons of Culture buildings at my capitol yet never saw the Status of Z...

Hellenic Legacy

I just finished a Persian scenario as Syracusae with Tarentum as a client-state on Very Hard and finished in 7th place. I know from experience that Persia, Egypt and Sparta are the favourites. I tried to play Syracusae small, without 20 regions to become "empire". I read that there were several Hell...

Isolationist vs. Implant Trade Settlements

Isolationist increases Decadence from conquests by 50%. Is creating a trading colony via Implant Trade Settlements count as a "conquest".

Re: Playing Armenia is great fun, and very different

I just finished a Balanced game as Samnium finishing fourth, which I am pleased with. Persia was first, Egypt second (even though they had been eliminated), and Sparta third. I'm trying Syracuse on Very Hard to see what I can do. Kolchis is next.

I am going to try your army mix in my MP game to see how it fares.

Re: Art of Siege

I had a drought period of a couple of weeks. Now I am getting them in the same frequency as before. It made me wonder if there was a problem or if there were national modifiers as I just started playing Samniums.

Vaalen, how do you take walled cities when your armies don't have any regular infantry besiegers?

Art of Siege

What ever happened to the Art of Siege regional decision? I haven't seen one since the last update.

Re: Playing Armenia is great fun, and very different

I am playing Armenia in a 4-player MP game and I am having fun as be successor neighbours are tied up with wars. I have also been able to come in third with Armenia in solitaire play under an AI difficulty level of very hard. It was the first nation that I have played with missions, which adds a lot...

List of Pictish Kings

The last update included Egyptian names. Here is a link to the List of Pictish Kings, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ ... _the_Picts, which would be a great addition to the next release.

Picts are the Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight

Pictish Skirmishers have a ranged attack value of 4, which gives them a support value of +1. Their neighbours (Hiberni, Brigantes, and Britonae) all have skirmishers with a ranged attack value of 5, which gives them a support value of +2. This is a significant advantage. Is there a historical justif...

Who has Missions?

Which nations have missions; not objectives? I've seen them with Carthage, Armenia and Rome. Who else has them, as they add to the game?

Is Placing in the Top Three a Win?

If you play a secondary or tertiary nation then placing first is almost impossible against the likes of Rome, Persia or Egypt. I consider placing in the top three a win if I am not playing a favoured nation. I am playing on the Insane level. Anyone else think that way?

Re: Questions and Opinions About FOG Empires

FOGE is a new AGEOD game engine that is head and shoulders above the older version. I would love to see the English Civil War or the Thirty Years' War as the next release using Pike and Shot Campaigns as the tactical battle system. I've played a couple of 3-player MP games, and I am currently playin...

Re: What's with these OOB road runner targets?

If my opponent has a treasure trove of resource points then I tend to leave the 1-2 pointers around so that they are not just immediately replaced with a 10-pointer.

Leader Quality Penalty

I am playing Arabia and there is a Leader Quality Penalty of 3, caused by a national Low Military Experience. I have only had 0-0, 1-0 and 0-1 leaders so far. I am assuming that since the best possible leader is 2-2 (for a total of 4) that the best Arabia can hope for is a leader with a total o 4 -3...
