Re: AO 1939 scn tree is a disaster
Instead of a classic French campaign, I propose an attack by Italian forces on France and battles in a very interesting landscape of the Maritime Alps and the French Riviera, it is so new and fresh Instead of Stalingrad, we will move to Norway to repel the British landing, and for the time of the B...

Re: Should Panthers be cheaper?
I guess the only real way to stop getting only the best all the time Would be to have strength point limits for practically everything, so treat all units like prototypes where you only have limited availability but more generous in SP allocation. This could go someway to say there's only so many T...

Re: Should Panthers be cheaper?
It seems unit cost is calculated based solely on unit stats, using some formula. These creates questionable situations, like T-34 / KV 1 having roughly same price or specialist infantry having almost same price, as regular. But generally speaking there is so much prestige in the game and upgrade fam...

Re: Is it better to destroy one unit or weaken several?
Regarding planes disengaging every turn - If you surround them with 6 air units - they won't.
Flexible command trait works great here, but even without it you can keep couple empty core slots and split cheap recon planes.

Re: SCW - What's the Point?
I can do the worst travesties imaginable when it comes to proper prestige management (Elite reinforcement DURING the mission *gasp*) and my prestige numbers still climb up instead of bottoming out. Isn't elite reinforcement the only way to go? Losing star will result in worse combat results...

Re: Wagons should have "wheeled" movement type?
Thats good points, my only problem is that wagon is much cheaper than Opel (30 vs 70), while being better in anything other than moving on a road. I guess many players dont buy horse transport only because they don't understand how great they are. But generally speaking all transport is so cheap, th...

Wagons should have "wheeled" movement type?
Makes little sense that they have same movement type as cavalry and high cross-country mobility coming with it. Horse driven wagon is basically truck with poor "engine", not some all-terain vehicle. Probably there should be separate (and expensive) transport for light artillery with horse ...

Generally speaking one hero per map is too much.
Player will be swimming in super-units of all sorts by mid-war.

Re: Axis Operations FAQ and Tips
Problem is experience growth is very slow, but experience loss from replacements is normal, so most units will stay 0 stars forever.

Re: Axis Operations FAQ and Tips
How bad will be picking green army for these campaigns?
Slow experience growth and prestige abundance hints, that elite replacing everything is intended way to play.

Green army?
It seems green army trait completely blocks elite replacements on the battlefield on top of described effect. That 3 elite replacements can be used only in deployment phase, and it some of them were not used they disappear. Most clear example is 1st mission of the campaign, where you can't use elite...

Re: Pioniere Balance
As a side note, does anyone use new Kradschutzen at all?
They were not greatest unit in PC1, but their distinct feature was being infantry with associated close terrain advantages.
Current version (10 strength, vehicle behaviour in close terrain) seems pointless.

Re: Are attack values high enough?
109's are very cheap both in slots and prestige. Consider overstrength, if you want more kills per attack. Personally I don't mind AI air units surviving and retreating. They burn prestige and exp for repairs (AI seems to use only normal replacements) and you can easily kill them later. And in many ...

Finishing historical path counts as "victory"?
Does finishing the game in Berlin counts as victory achievment-wise?
Want to try that path on highest difficulty for a change.

Re: Pioniere Balance
I think infantry pricing policy is wrong. Regular infantry should be cheap, HW teams should be slightly more expensive. But specialist units should be expensive enough to make player think, does he really need them or can live with more standard wehr inf instead. Niche of Grenarier unit should be &q...

Re: Enemy units escaping across the map.
Retreating unit uses normal movement rules, force it to retreat into bad terrain - it will use all move points and surrender next attack. All used move points will be unavailable next turn. Surround it, and it will not recover strength or supression at all. And If its paticulary strong unit (otherwi...

Re: Half-tracks or Trucks?
For me its engineers and grenadiers in halftracks, normal wehrmacht/volksgrenadier -- on foot. Never felt foot movement slow enough to purchase trucks. Horse transport is probably just fine for lighter artillery too (they even move faster than trucks outside of roads), didnt purchase it only for aes...

Re: 1 Trait Challenge
I was too lazy to think about trait balance and special rules, just picked battlefield academy as it looked simple and not over-powered.
Finished the campaign on General without much trouble, I guess you can even play with 0 traits just fine.

my plan was just to weaken the defensive engeener to take the city in 9 turns ( one entrenchment lost by turn) . Is it too much ? i sent 2 artillery and guess what happen ! the engeener get 2 new entrenchment by turn ! and my two artillery remove 2 entrenchment but for nothing ! so i can't weaken t...

Re: Artillery is Rather Broken
--> is it a joke ? i just want to take a small city in the top corner and i have to send 2 artillery ? i already sent ONE artillery and one infantery ( that' s already a lot for just one engeener! ) and it is not enough to just wipe out a little engeener ! I m just in poland! i can't have a lot of ...
