Re: Quick question about AO 43: Can I pick paths in '44?
Remember, you core is saved at the end of the final scenario of the DLC, so you'll be ready to go either way. And that was exactly my point - do I need separate saves for ahistorical and historical paths? And of course, most players will want to try both paths. Previously, the game gave you markers...

Quick question about AO 43: Can I pick paths in '44?
Hi guys, just a quick question: I want to finish '43 both historical and ahistorical paths. How does '44 determine my starting point? Do I have to keep a save from both paths? Right now, I have a save from Kursk Operation Roland. Then I went for the ahistorical path (obviously...). Now, if I reload ...

Re: DLC Roadmap
Wow 10 Norway scenarios. Zone of Destiny indeed! As long as it is fun, why not. :D BTW, while SCW annoyed me a lot at times (bugs, AI allies) and forced me to cheat to get through it, AO 1939 is fine and I am having a lot of fun. For me, this kind of proves my notion that mission design, writing an...

Re: DLC Roadmap
No problem for me about which theaters the next dlc will cover, I just hope they come out at a very fast pace, no less than one a month. I have practically already finished AO1939 and I don't like playing the same dlc several times, if too much time passes between one and the other I lose affection...

Re: Mini-mod AO: SCW Auxiliary Nationalists
Thanks, I will try this. Even with cheating, the AI of my allies is just a fucking shitshow assaulting into tanks on open terrain and over bridges. To be fair, the enemy AI sometimes does this as well. Maybe this is just me, but the core of hexfeld strategy (that includes Panzercorps, Panzergeneral,...

All other scenarios ok AFAIK.
So, uhm, any cheat codes? I just want to finish this, get a core for the next DLC and then put this in the shelf for a while. A long while.

Re: The First Nemesis: Comandante Vega
While not sharing fire support is an unfortunate bug, sharing prestige is intended because they also feed you prestige from all hex captures as well as when they force an enemy unit to surrender. Sharing with your ally is a two way street. Recapturing flags doesn't give repeat prestige. And there i...

Re: The First Nemesis: Comandante Vega
I think maybe you also need to look at your playstyle. Malaga is a very easy mission, with plenty of aux support and a map that lends itself well to the AI's play style. One good tip is to never let the AI be alone. Always have air and artillery support, and some ground units to pick off wounded en...

Re: The First Nemesis: Comandante Vega
If I could go back and change anything, I would go back and change nothing. I would take being overly ambitious over extra timid every time. If the first DLC didn't show the game trying to grow and expand, it sends the terrible, terrible message that what you see is what you will get for the rest o...

Re: The First Nemesis: Comandante Vega
@o_t_d_x: Glad we agree. But I wouldnt want to quit it yet and dont want to condemn the devs for their attempts at adding new layers and aspects to the game. After all, I can clearly see that a lot of work and thought went into this. I just was exhausted so often in this campaign.

Re: The First Nemesis: Comandante Vega
I would say that OOB Burma felt more like a Panzer Corps campaign rather than SCW feeling like an OOB campaign. And we've seen lots of complaints over base game Panzer Corps 2 scenarios being too small. Well people wanted bigger battles, even in their early war content, and now they have them. Whic...

Re: The First Nemesis: Comandante Vega
What are your thoughts on this special enemy unit from the Spanish Civil War? Is it interesting to see an enemy unit that is extra special in many ways? (OS, heroes, connection with characters, potential to appear more than once) This first Nemesis was an experiment in many ways, so your thoughts o...

Re: Having a blast with Spanish Civil War!
So , basically , for me , SCW is Christmas in July. :D Well, happy holidays then. :D I never said that this is bad, a lot of thought and love went into this. The comedown from flattening my enemies with Sturmtigers and assault engineers to paper planes and Panzer I is just pretty hard for me. Feels...

Re: Having a blast with Spanish Civil War!
But I do miss the firepower of my Panther Gs and HS 129s one-shotting Shermans. Why would you expect that from Spanish Civil War era equipment...? I wasnt expecting Panthers and other heavy equipment. But having tanks that do at most 2-4 damage on infantry in open terrain and biplanes that ...

Re: Having a blast with Spanish Civil War!
Just a quick one: On the one hand, a lot of fresh ideas and a campaign not so well-trodden like the rest of WW2. On the other, all those flimsy biplanes and minuscule tanks barely make a dent in anything. And really big numbers of AI enemy units and allies make turns you are not playing quite long. ...

Re: Feel the Wheel of Steel: Red Steel Review and Discuss
Alright, I guess I am running a bit behind you guys. But I'll let you be the vanguard taking the terrible losses while I stay in rear with the gear. Yeah, supply chain donkey for life, baby. Anyways, Rhzev is surprisingly easy here. Note that I bought two T-34 flametanks as an upgrade to t...

Re: Feel the Wheel of Steel: Red Steel Review and Discuss
Well, Voronezh is the next city the Red Army will lose. Lucky for us, we can play the short counteroffensive in the north and enjoy a brief, elating victory before the city falls to the Wehrmacht. This is just 15 turns, so play it aggressively. At least the tank battle. As usual in OoB defensive mis...

Re: Feel the Wheel of Steel: Red Steel Review and Discuss
Well, another bruising defeat for the Red Army. My guess is they will keep on coming for a while. This mission is once again a fighting retreat which means you have to take a look at the map layout and determine where to best make your stand. There is an added twist though with taking out enemy tank...

Re: Feel the Wheel of Steel: Red Steel Review and Discuss
Alright, sorry for the delay. Bill Gates kept me in his secret underground bunker because I have discovered the truth about his plans. But now I am back, protected by my mighty tinfoil hat and in constant telepathic communication with bebro and Shards to hold off the mindcontrol waves. Rub those tem...
