Re: What do Panzer Corps veterans feel about PzC2?

I've been playing Panzer Corps for a few years and love the game, and the graphics are perfect for what is required. With Panzer Corps 2 I can't get past the graphics, it doesn't matter how good the game underneath is, it's the graphics that I have to look at while I'm playing. I bought Order of Bat...

Re: Rubbish heroes

I am grateful for all my good and bad heroes... usually having a hero is better than having no hero... ;) Good point PeteMitchell. I always thought spotting heroes on most units were pretty rubbish, but then I got a second one on a Pioneer. Sure, 2 move heroes would have been better, but when my Pi...

Re: The most annoying terrain in PzC?

Yes, anything when it rains and you're hurrying towards the final objective or two and your ground units can hardly move and your bombers become useless!

Re: Rubbish heroes

Good point. My unit with +6A was a Tiger I (I'm about half-way through GC43 East) so it will definitely be a beast. I'll probably be glad of it as things progress, although I think I would rather have had a move hero.

Re: Stalingrad Ruins

I had a look of it and the thought about playing a scenario of city hex fighting for turn after turn and it didn't look like any fun at all. After naval combat, city fighting is my least favourite. I like a variety of terrain, so that's why I gave it a miss.

Re: Rubbish heroes

Too true, Captainjack. After my previous post last night, I was playing PzC and was awarded a hero on a tank unit that already had a +1A and a +2A. The new one was a +3A, so all in all +6A, worth having when they're all added together.

Re: Rubbish heroes

Despite being a 56 year old Panzer Corps player, I still get a sense of childish excitement when the box comes up to say one of my units has been awarded a hero. Sometimes it's brilliant (Range on artillery, movement on a Pioneer or Grenadier for example), but then there are those that have little o...

Re: [Mod] Amulet Mod - Units/Graphics/Sound Mod

Hi Farre, it's about 3 years since I installed this mod so don't remember any details, but if you unzip the downloaded mod, there is a folder called "Amulet Mod Version 200" and in there is another folder "Amulet Mod 200" which contains instructions and information (pdf files) in both English and Ge...

Re: Exaggerated AI reinforcements

I've noticed that throughout the Eastern Front campaign the AI often spawns extra AA and AT units as you approach an important objective. These are almost always backed up by artillery and it is a great strategy by the AI as it pretty much covers all bases, requiring a careful assault to conquer. As...

Re: GC 1941

Events at Stalingrad played out over a longer period and had a greater effect on the outcome of the war, with Hitler's poorly judged insistence that it must be taken at all costs. It's a bigger deal in PC because it was a bigger deal historically.

Re: Panzer Corps 2 is now available on pre-order

When I have purchased from Slitherine previously, I have used the Slitherine store and received a serial number and a download link. Then I was able to redeem a Steam key later to play through Steam if I wanted. Will this option be available on pre-order? I don't want to purchase through Steam. I re...

Re: At what time should you be content with your (infantry) unit(s) heroes?

I stick with the heroes I get, I never disband units because of the heroes they receive. Of course, sometimes I'm disappointed at the heroes I receive, but it's part of the game, a bonus and they all make the unit better in some way, however minor. I'm quite possessive of my units and hate to lose a...
