I tried using the modified exp file in my current campaign. It doesn't take effect mid-scenario but it does at the beginning of the next scenario. So the exp file takes effect similar to the equipment file.

I'd like to be able to adjust experience-related bonuses, notably by increasing defence and initiative bonuses for recon (to represent their ability to hide and react better). Can someone help me ? I donwloaded some of units that are not in the original game, like german Brandenburg or Panzerfaust, added them into unit folder, but I don't see them in the game ? @cw58: Thanks a lot, but this is exactly what I have done so far. But there is no simple change of some hex values. Instead I have to replace the complete data from the M3 tank to the 8,8 arty. And as the size of data is different :-( @Locarnus: yes I tried it may times, but the data is not updated...

AFAIK, you can't place empty transports on the map while in the scenario editor. That includes land, air, sea & rail transports. It is possible to do as Faos described above. Or you can temporarily edit the equipment file. For example, take a land transport (class 14) and edit/change it to a rec...

faos333 is correct and as his 2nd post states, changes to the equipment file only take effect when you start a new scenario, not in the middle of a scenario. If you could post your equipment file or even a screenshot of the new unit entry, it would be easier for us to advise you.
