Re: Why do you still stick with the OG Panzer Corps?
A lot of great replies here... Well, for me the original Panzer Corps is simply the best game I've ever played. All stuff, no fluff - the triumph of minimalism. :) Replayability, customization with mods, simplicity and, at the same time, deepness of strategical decision. Easy to learn, hard to maste...

Re: Still Teaching Me Things
I concur; it is a great post. Deep historical knowledge and feel for the "soul" of the game... Playing with historical OOBs is a nice idea; I consider it an additional challenge for the game when we avoid the optimized core composition in favor of something more difficult and creative. I h...

1) AI unit spam on the last turns to rob you out of the decisive victory.
2) AI unit is badly damaged, but not killed due to bad rolls; it retreats to heal itself and haunt you during the next turns.

Re: [US campaign] 50 State Tour
I'm not bored with Panzer Corps yet, probably never will. I'm still creating some stuff on and off when time allows. I had some holiday and i began making a few scenarios for the US side of the game. This is hopefully the beginning of a 50 scenario fictional campaign against the Axis powers. Great ...

Humble opinion.
I'm just going to say it, RTS is about as phoney as the day is long. I agree absolutely. No, I'm not saying Turn based is any sort of magical realism in comparison. There is no "realism" in turn based, RTS or any other type of game. A game is a game. Immune to 'gamey' much more so....

Re: What’s your most favorite war game so far?
Of course, It is Panzer Corps 1 - the best game I ever played. (And still playing)
Pike & Shot is also great.
I enjoyed playing the Decisive campaign series, especially the Barbarossa one.
Strategic command series is nice also.
Maybe something else, can't remember now.

The idea is very interesting. Thank You for your work.
We already have a WW I mod by BNC (playing it right now), but I am very interested in the Russian Civil war mod.

Grand Campaign 42 East completed.
Campaign: GC 1942 East with my core imported from 39/40/41 GC's. Rules: general difficulty, normal dice, no reloads. Initial prestige: more than 100000. Final prestige - about 100k. (carefully maximized prestige gain in previous years to be prepared for the eastern front, spent at least 20000 prest...

Re: Is flammpanzer worth using?
It is a mystery...
I, for one, like the Allied Corps very much. The scenarios are so varied and you have 2 separate entries in the campaign for US and UK which is also nice.
And Crocodiles are great indeed.

Re: Is flammpanzer worth using?
I think all the good uses for it are already mentioned in this thread. Personally I never found a use for it in my cores. This tank gets too vulnerable for my taste just like the scout units which I also dislike for the same reason. I noticed that the AI likes to specifically target it with many uni...

Re: Which units does AI air force focus the most?
Wurfrahmen and SiG's Absolutely. First I think Vulnerable artillery then weak air defense tanks and scouts or already damaged units that is possible to one shot. Generally It focuses units that are the most vulnerable to air attacks (obvious from unit's stats) and It is predictable and exploitable ...

Re: Heroes pattern?
I agree that Heroes are NOT random ! The proof of this is various players claim they always get spotting hero or always get attack not defense heroes etc. Heroes are random... Really, It's the truth. As far as I remember you just have less of a chance to get crazy +3 heroes... (Game uses a dice and...
