Div C

SLancaster (Roman 197-284 AD) defeated MorkinTheFree (Romano-British 407-599 AD) 61-42.

Morkin fought hard and I am pretty sure he will do well in his other games. A big army and some of the Romano-Brit infantry held for ages and then he got some good flanks off. Thanks for the game.

Re: The Rally Point (discussion and questions)

I was against going to 1600 points for many categories but it hasn't made so much of a difference in gameplay for me.

Re: Classical Antiquity: winners post your result here . . .

Division B SLancaster (Roman 199-106 BC with Greek 227-146 BC allies) defeated GDod (Jewish 163-111 BC). 67-48 . A game where the Romans made a big comeback. I was 15-20 points down and slowly clawed my way back into it. GDod had a super set-up and I am sure he will bash up a few armies in this div...

Division C

SLancaster (Roman 197-284 AD) defeated cromlechi (Pictish 210-476 AD with Anglo-Saxon 449-599 AD allies). 62-39.

A hard fight with both armies going for it. The Romans managed to hold the centre and then push on. Good luck in your coming battles!

Re: Warg1 has won Biblical Division D!

Well done to Warg. He is a bit of a machine these days. Aetius has opportunities for revenge in the other divisions.

Division B SLancaster (Roman 199-106 BC with Greek 227-146 BC allies) defeated Trogilus (Syracusan 280-211 BC with Carthaginian 235-146 BC allies). 43-12 . A tough game against a good opponent. Some shuffling around and then we committed midway through the battle. Best of luck in your next games!

Re: Tournament Round I Army Comparison Sheet

Having played half-a-dozen practice games, abet vs the AI, these are my initial observations. 1. The Syracusians have a significant advantage in heavy infantry, a max of 20 vs Carth. max of 11. 2. The Syracusian veteran hopolites are almost as good as the veteran African spears, especially in light...

Re: Tournament Round I Army Comparison Sheet

Yes, I have already mentioned to Richard that he didn’t use 1200 points for his army. But, his observations about the units are still valid and useful.

Re: Tournament Round I Army Comparison Sheet

I am not in this tournament. I mainly play in the Digital League. Carthage is the better list - the Veteran African Spearmen will do a lot of damage. Carthage also has more cavalry plus chariots that it can field. Someone else can talk about the Heavy Chariots.. they might be good. Richard started d...

October 21st

I just took turns in two games and there was a long wait to upload the turns. Both took 1 min 40 secs. Server is sluggish today.

Re: Field of Glory II: Medieval is coming soon

I agree with what most are saying: unit depictions look colourful and attractive (especially the cavalry) while the landscape could just do with a little alteration. Some scrubs, shades, and grass in the open green patches would be nice.

Overall, looks impressive, though.

Division B SLancaster (Roman 199-106 BC with Greek 227-146 BC allies) defeated Morbio (Carthaginian (Hannibal in Italy) 216-203BC with Samnite 355-272 BC allies). 62-39 . A very nice opponent. He played well and didn't get the rallies at the end. Carthaginian 216 BC is a tough army so I am pleased ...

First win for my Classical Romans and it wasn't easy. Lunecastle set up very well with his skirmishers, light cav and artillery. Ro...

Re: Fallbacks

We don't have any information on fallbacks causing double drops. If anyone knows or has seen the code then let us know. At the moment I am assuming that a roll of 2 will cause a double drop.

The Rally Point (discussion and questions)

In the other example I was annoyed because I was specifically told that after two units routed I would go over 25% and it was game over. Of course a mistake was made. But, it altered the result because I wasted five turns wondering what was going on. In the end I missed out on the win by 2% because...
