Re: Scale of the square

I estimated it about 180X180 feet but I think it may be closer to 200. How did you estimate it? I thought it is: 1 square = 200x200 paces. 1 pace ~ 0.75m (~ 2,5 feet) This is what made me think this way: [...]Half a square - 100 paces[...] What is 1 pace in this game in meter? 0,75m ? It has delibe...

Re: My Poorly Armed Rabble is stronger than it should

Actually it's their purpose to stay at full size in the rear far away from the frontline all the time.
In this way they add to the percentage share of all the forces commited to the battle at a low cost.
When units at the front are routing it has now less effect on the army morale at whole.

Ok. It's only one point above the maximum, but I would like to know the explanation for this.
Is this a bug or the result of some occult number crunching of the rules system?

Re: Elephants panicking

Thank you for clarifying.

Edit:
But it would be really nice if the "direct confrontation advantage" of 'Indian Elephants'-unit vs. 'Elephants'-unit from the epic battles could be made compliant to rules in custom battles and also apply for the ''Muslim War Elephants'-unit.

Re: Elephants panicking

Question: Are there any differences between the three different pachyderm units in the game (Elephants, Indian Elephants and Muslim War Elephants)? For instance Wikipedia tells me that the elephants used by Carthage in the Punic Wars where North African elephant { Loxodonta africana pharaohensis }. ...

Re: Could moving or charging route indication point be more bold?

Another additional thing are the question markers for suspected/hidden troops in woods. The 3d marker object is oriented in such a way that it is clearly visible, when looking at the map from button up ( so that one opponent is on the left, the other the right.) But if you look at the map over your ...

Re: New Scenario: Panormus 251 BC, with City Walls!

I agree, map looks very nice. The walls can be crossed by units of both sides. This is intentional. Defenders are presumed to be using sally ports. Attackers have to be able to cross the walls, we can assume that they are using scaling ladders. This is how Heavy Fortifications work in P&S and SJ. Le...
