How does the computer opponent handle the wagon when using or fighting against it? Does it prioritise attacking it? It looks extremely tough and I’m worried it will be too easy to exploit it’s benefits against a cpu army.

I wish there was a way to alter the saturation, I find the brightly coloured units in Ancients and from what I've seen of Medieval to be to unrealistic. just wondering how armour rating is worked out for mounted units. Is it a combination of the horses armour and the riders or the rider only? I'm dubious of this claim of 'deadly as Magnum 44'. Maybe at very close range but the Magnum .44 is going to retain velocity at a greater distance and therefore kinetic energy. Changing weather and time of day over a campaign to give some aesthetic variation to battles. Also a slider for colour saturation, some armies can be a bit too colourful for my tastes.

I’m not sure about lowering % to win if the C-in-C is lost. Human players will target the cpu General while making sure theirs is well protected behind the front lines. Could become a bit of an exploit of the game mechanics.

How is everyone finding the AI’s stack building ability? Playing as Rome I can steamroll my neighbours as they never build a decent stack, they usually build a few weak ones that if combined would be more of a challenge to beat. Some nations would be unplayable if they had their FoG2 roster. FoG2 is not balanced for gameplay it just has historically accurate units which in some cases would be hard to conquer the world with.

Not saying this is a bad idea but weren't kills/casualties during the game period actually quite low during hand to hand fighting. Most kills occurred after one army broke and were run down during the rout. Until this happened it was just as much a contest of fatigue and morale.

I adjusted the zoom and pitch in the MAPVIEW.TXT file in the /data folder so I can easily zoom right in with the mouse wheel and move using the RMB. Make sure to backup before changing.

Excuse my ignorance but who are the British 600-1030 AD? The game lists Anglo-Saxons, Irish, Scots and Welsh for the same period.

Yeah I feel the same it would open up some interesting tactical options to dismount in battle. I assume it’s not allowed for historical reasons.
