Re: FOG-R Tournaments (in UK) for 2020?

With Tom's email to OWS members confirming that Wolvercote is not to be used for further OWS meetings until at least the end of May, the FOG-R ECW 15mm competition event will no doubt now be postponed/cancelled.

FOG-R Tournaments (in UK) for 2020?

Hi All With the recent developments around COVID-19 and the increasing restrictions being introduced by Govt; I wonder about the status of these upcoming FOG-R tournaments? Roll-Call has already been cancelled (I could not have attended anyway) Campaign is next up in early May (I could not have atte...

Re: Oxford 1 Day Event - 8 March 2020

OK, so the "Kiel's" round didn't go so well - my dice remain atrocious! Looking ahead to the May event (new date is 17th not 10th); lots to choose from (Confederate Irish, Early Royalist, Later Royalist, Scots Royalist, Parliamentarian, New Model Army, Scots Covenanter)! Stick to my usual (NMA) or t...

Re: Oxford 1 Day Event - 8 March 2020

Thanks to all for today's "Sporting Encounter" - kudos to my opponents on the day of Ray, Dene and Trev! I still need to roll better dice! Congrats to Don for his win with the Swiss and thanks to Tom for organizing. I hope to make the next OWS round for ECW on 17 May!

Re: Oxford 1 Day Event - 8 March 2020

Quick question. I don't possess a 5ft x 3ft mat. Do we (between the competitors) have enough for the day, or do I need to improvise?

Was sorry not to have made it along, and was disappointed to hear that I might never do so, as this years was slated to be the last time; but sounds potentially great news if some others are prepared to step in and keep it alive!

Re: Keils - Official Discussion Thread

The OWS will be hosting a FOG-R "any army list with minimum 2 x Keils" competition on March 8th. This prompted a revisiting of the excellent original guidance from Graham Briggs (some years ago) for those not familiar with Keils. I will be happy to send a .pdf copy to anyone who would like this - pl...

Re: Attack! (Devizes) 2020 - 18/19 July

Did you mean specifically the Dragoons in the Foot section? It looks like the original:- 2/ Dragoons can make a full move even within 6" of the enemy if they pass a CMT. has been replaced with:- 2) When making any move including an evade starting or ending within 6MU of the enemy, they may make a fu...

Re: Oxford 1 Day Event - 8 March 2020

Tom - are you referring to the Graham Briggs "Kiel Spiel" document from a few years ago? If so I have a "revised" version from 2017 (not sure if it needs still further revision), I will send on email for you to review.
