Re: Noob questions

Something weird I've noticed with the Battlestars. In the show the big cannons on the top of the ship are used to create the Flak field. But in the game they don't seem to do that. I was disappointed when I saw that. In the show, the main batteries contribute to the screen with airburst shells. It'...

Re: Noob questions

Hi. Is there a way to make the camera follow a unit or squadron during the action phase? Like you can in the Homeworld games? Click the squadron you want to stick with in the selection panel on the left during the action phase. It should zoom and follow in on them. However, it won't be as close up a...

Re: Any plans to release the engine for this game to modders?

We suspect that NBCU, the IP holders of the Battlestar Galactica franchise, have forbidden any modifications to the game,

As such, don't hold your breath for any modding tools.

Re: BSG: Deadlock - Battle replay camera is disorientating

The camera movement in the battle replay is based on the way the space scenes in the 2003 show were done. Lots of zoom, lots of pan, lots of tiny movement.

This has been done on purpose to capture the same feeling as the show in the game.

Re: Next update: let us turn the ships in placement phase

The reason the game prevents you from turning your forces pre-deployment is that it would make it entirely too easy to jump in, showing broadside in the perfect formation, able to just chew up the Cylons. A part of the game's loop is manoeuvring into a good position. If you take that away, all you h...

Re: Missing weapon sounds

Cmdr Paul Black LabToday at 04:46 The frame rate issue was related to the audio system, and possibly an issue with the game engine (Unity). We had to cut back on the amount of audio in order to get a fix out as quickly as possible, since MP didn't work at all, and the framerate issue was pretty not...

The summary is basically this; SgtZdog Today at 02:48 Summary of updates from Paul on Xbox issues: think they've identified the performance issues, working on sorting out the multiplayer issues, no ET...

There's plot points attached to the Cratus, which is why you've not seen it (yet).

That's all I can say on it without spoiling anything.

Re: Some multiplayer clarification

As I've understood it there is 1v1, 2v2, and 2vAI but no coop campaign/missions of any type, which is disappointing but not a dealbreaker for me. I don't necessarily dislike the idea of playing skirmishes where a friend and I split an 8000 fleet (i think thats correct?) vs AI but have read that the...

Re: Jupiter-Class Names

One can argue with most of BSG Content. We definitely know that there were Battlestars called Atlantia, Triton, and Solaria. Which we know from the Reboot because Admiral Nagala took command of the Atlantia for the counterattack, in which all three vessels got destroyed. With the knowledge of naval...

But one could argue Actually, I'm afraid I can argue most of this. The only names for the twelve Jupiters constructed for the Articles of Colonization that are confirmed are Galactica, Athena and now after Sin and Sacrifice, Demeter. It is possible that Columbia and Archeron (even though I hate to ...

There's no hotseat mode to play in multiplayer. You can only play online against another person (which has to have the game installed on a separate computer) and against the AI.

Re: Battlestar Galactica Deadlock - Dev Diary #16 'The Veterancy Update'

But long waited leader boards for the xbox, like the PC version has would be more welcome. I'm afraid you have been misinformed. The PC has no leaderboards either. People use the Discord channel to organise multiplayer matches, admittedly mostly for PC. The game isn't really one where you open up a...

Re: "Destroy 500 enemy ships" Trophy on PS4

I can only speak for the PC version since I don't know if the console version has different parameters.

However, on the PC, any ship, be it MP, skirmish or campaign, will count. You can kill a 100 in skirmish, 200 in MP and 200 in the campaign and you should still get the trophy.

Re: Could my GeForce GTX 650 run this..?

If you purchase the game through steam, you could try it. As long as you stay under the 2 hour mark or within 14 days of your purchase, you can refund it if the game is unplayable because of your graphics card. That way you can give it a go. If it doesn't work, you'll get your money back and you can...

I'll admit, I am not a 100% sure of all the differences between different graphics cards and such. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compare/GeForce-GTX-460-vs-Radeon-HD-5770-vs-GeForce-GTX-650/31vs6vs2155 I have however used the following website to compare the Geforce 460 and Radeon HD 5770, whic...

Alternatively, you may also want to drop in on the Discord (you can find the link on the multiplayer page). We got a support channel there and someone from the community (or myself perhaps) might be able to find a solution for you.
