I would imagine more information than: "it won't launch" might be necessary. I'm thinking bare minimum, the output log, and DXdiag log would be required before anyone can even think about making a suggestion.

Good news: I managed to hit escape before the thing could freeze again. Started a campaign, and am enjoying it quite a bit. Hopefully, a solution to the problem can be found before i complete the campaign.

I put in for a support ticket. I'm genuinely pissed now. It's not your fault...it's just that i've been looking forward to playing this game, i spend the money, download it, and i can't play it, because of some anomalous issue. Really gets the blood boiling, ya' know?

Glad they were able to find a fix. However, keep in mind they are running windows 10, and their fixes, so far as i can tell, are win10-specific.

EDIT: Went to check out the "fix it" solution, and i find that they've EOL'ed the entire line of tools, so that's not an option. Got anything else for me?

Sorry you're having problems. It sounds like a video player issue. You might need to check you have the latest codecs for your video player. This is one of only 2 places in game where its actually a video, so once you get past this it shouldn't be an issue. The rest of the game is all real time 3D....
