Re: Pike & Shot is now available for iPad!

Will this also run on a Mac, or is it iPad only?

Re: Pike & Shot is now available!

Hello All, Just to let those know who are asking about a Mac version, the normal procedure is that when we release a Mac version of a game we create a Master Installer, which then contains the other OS formats, so if you buy the PC version then you will be able to get the Mac version when it releas...

I second this inquiry. When, if ever, will it come out for Mac?

The rest of the Bandits are fighting a rearguard action to keep me from bringing Byzantines. So far they are holding their positions, but I am bringing up the Varangian Guard for the final assault.

Re: The Worlds 2015

FoG:N should be mandatory, shouldn't it? 8) I would love to attend. I can say with assurance that Lisbon is a great city and that the organizers run events well. However, it is unclear at this time whether I will be able to. Family events are semi-scheduled for next summer. Short version: don't look...

I have no comment at this time, and direct all questions to the team captain, Mr. Hazelbark.

Re: International Team Competition 2014 (Rome)

I need to add my thanks for an enjoyable, well-run event. And also for the huge trophy. :D It just barely fit in my carry on bag.

The practice in Koblenz made all the difference.

First impression on the morning of Day 1: the GB1 team shirts are spectacular. But not necessarily in a good way. To be sure, the team members will have no difficulty finding each other in the gaming area, or in dense fog, or at midnight.

Re: The Worlds 2014 - FoG-AM-results

I have been meaning to post about how much fun I had in Koblenz, but I haven't had a chance until now due to a week of wandering around Germany eating schnitzel and drinking Reisling. As an aside, Aachen has a really good set of exhibits dealing with Charlemagne, including a reconstruction of what o...

Re: The Worlds 2014 - let's get started

At 1:00 pm the event will be opened officially with me holding a long-lasting speech of 30 minutes, before the games start. Gaaaaahhhhhh! Perhaps three or four beers will be needed. As there is one player each round having no opponent, we will have 6 players in total. These 6 players will b...

Re: The Worlds 2014 - let's get started

At an event held in Germany, I suspect that most of us will be doing well to remember what army we are even facing all the way through to the end of the game .... This may be a real thing. As I recall from my last trip to Germany, beer was less expensive than water. We all need to make sure ...

Re: The Worlds 2014 - let's get started

This is so exciting! The high proportion of Romans is a bit of a surprise, and the number of Medieval German City Leagues is even more so. That's why playing these international events is so much fun.

Looking forward to landing in Germany in a couple weeks.

Re: Back?

It is certainly true that army choice pendulum (if that is a thing) has swung away from shooty cav armies these days. However, I am not entirely sure that FoG 2.0 has significantly nerfed them. A lot of 2.0 changes directly affect the troop types involved in a shooty cav army, and there is no doubt ...

I will add a fourth question: were LOCs used, or did the scenario victory conditions obviate the need for them?

Re: Mid-West?

I am sorry to say that the answer is no. There used to be some activity in Chicago, but those folks have--for various reasons--fallen off the map. There is also a nugget of players around Columbus, OH, but we mostly see them at Historicon and Cold Wars. Madcam was active in the Cincinnati area, but-...
