I think that just because the situation is covered it does not mean that the "rout move has been completed", so if a unit does not move its full distance the rout move has not been completed and is the main reason why BG's are destroyed after a rout move.

Hepthalites at large! The theme of the competition was you must have 450 points of Cavalry, Bow, Sword. 900 pts were available. The scoring system was a bit odd in that you didn't get a bonus 5 points for breaking your opponent, but you did if you sacked their camp. My army was: Hunnic - Hepthalite....
