Re: New FOGII (April 2018) Campaign Tournament (bbogensc)

Ok, thanks to Kabill then for GM. Attached here is the base map. Please send future orders to Kabill then. I will be very very busy this week but will finish the Persian matches and then paul can take over. Yes, to answer the questions I have received from several players, basically I stopped enjoyi...

End Campaign ? - Ludendorf Victor

The game mods with the latest DLC (and the cheap warbands) have resulted in the Galatian army with a significant advantage in the 2000 pts army size, especially with Ludendorf in command, as he also appears to be one of the best, if not the best player, in FOG now. For my part, I do not see any circ...

Re: New FOGII (April 2018) Campaign Tournament (bbogensc)

Understood, players have less incentive to check regularly as the number of provinces controlled trends down, so this will be awarded to you on time if the game is not progressing or does not start.

Also, I'll need to start to award matches on time where we have consistent slow play.

Re: The Discussion thread . . .

Sure, I'm just an evil person and just treat me like a piece of dirt personally attacking me over and over again with no point as far as I can tell. I spend many hours each week organizing the most popular FOGII campaign, which is nearly as popular as your entire sponsored league, and to be treated ...

Re: The Discussion thread . . .

On the reloading turns, a veteran player actually reported he got the warning, and the process is extremely loose so it allows new players to reload, at minimum. Also, when I made the first report to you and Slitherine months ago, that player I reported then appears to have gotten the warning for ac...

Re: The Discussion thread . . .

I was not referring to Nosy_Rat. He is a fantastic player with a solid track record. I am obviously referring to the other player you put in Div A. If you recall, I inquired before Season 2 started that I was concerned the re-loading turns issue had not been addressed. You then told me we should not...

Re: The Discussion thread . . .

Yeah, its a little puzzling that a player you don't know and never communicated with went directly into Div A. Any other new player would need to play a calendar year of successful league games in order to make Div A. That was your decision, right? So, you ought to know the reasons for that decision...

Re: The Discussion thread . . .

(1) Fewer people are playing in league because its not well-designed not because of my dropping out for goodness sake. But, reading the post from Stockwellpete, I made the right decision. For Stockwellpete to put his buddy directly in Group A in Season 2 speaks for itself. How can the game be increa...

Re: The Discussion thread . . .

Yes, MikeC, and you were also correct that the late Roman lists are Tier A. The Roman +-400AD lists and also Romano-British are each comparable, probably better, than the Carthage lists in my view. Note also, the Jewish lists are extremely problematic for Carthage without much archery and I scramble...

Re: The Discussion thread . . .

A couple points, (1) First, Carthage is not a pike army. The Carthage army is flexible and was chosen by the top players for its flexibility. So, skilled players can recruit a force that will not be swept off the map based on a mismatch in unit type, and then the game will then be decided mostly by ...

Pending Battles

We have 2 battles still pending this turn, Scotland and Egypt. I will process the next turn on 7/1 and these will be scored as a draw. If either player is behind or slow-playing, then the opposing player should post a screenshot and a short explanation and a request for an adjudication.

Re: Skirmishers faster than horses

Ludendorf wrote:What I find curious is that the skirmishers bolted at all. I've never seen a unit of skirmishers that had cavalry directly facing it flee unless there were infantry they could run behind just nearby.

From what he says it was a flank attack from an adjacent tile.
