Re: Installation Problems
I had a problem installing from Steam, I suspect it was a corrupted download. This is what I posted over there/ No but I did have the Demo. I got it working. What I did. 1. Uninstalled the Demo 2. "Uninstalled" the Game (The Folder was created but empty). 3. Deleted everything from the &qu...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 Pacific DLC Shelved
Let’s bury the corpse and start work on a new engine. PC2 has a naval engine that is FUBAR. One that works as a replacement for OOB and PC2. It’s beyond time. Please get us some devs that are not so Nazi centric that it totally drives the campaigns. There are a large number of other campaigns that d...

Re: Panzercorps 2 vs. Order of Battle
Went back and played the last Allied campaign in OOB and found the mechanics much superior to PC2. PC2 needs to be scrapped and a replacement found. OOB does a much better job with land/Air/Naval. OOB handles supply much better and has a superior Ai. The only bad part of OOB was the ability of 1pt u...

Re: AO 1946 feedback
You have some good points. AO1946 really does not need to exist. It was a baseless money grab. The producers wanted a cheap add on. The Dev’s seem seduced with 1940’s German Tech along with a little “What if” German National Socialism fantasy. What you get is this hot mess. They could have taken the...

Re: AO 1946 feedback
You are right that without a rewrite you could not do Soviet Corps 2 but given the current historical and economic environment it’s not likely to happen. Militant Russia is unlikely to sell with western audiences due to the current militant megalomaniac in Russia and given the sanctions you can’t se...

Re: ao'45 and pacific status
For mostly better and somewhat worse, I don’t think Pacific Corps 2 will ever see the light of day. This is mostly a good thing as the naval combat mechanics in Panzer Corps 2 are so massively messed up that no DLC will fix it, it needs a massive rewrite of the game engine. Just lol at how horribly ...

Re: AO 1946 feedback
Your argument fails on the basic premise that two (or many wrongs) do not make a right. It does have merit in that there is a good reason we don’t have games where the cavalry distributes smallpox blankets to the Indians, you round up slaves for profit or you succeed in colonization by wiping out ci...

Re: AO 1946 feedback
I understand that as a German you want an outcome where your country wins, it’s understandable. However, as a non German I don’t agree. Yes it is hard not to remove the Nazi taint from the German side in WWw games, but there is a reason for that. It is irrevocably tied together. You can’t covenientl...

Re: AO 1946 feedback
Thanks, AO1945 provided a very “Rommelesque” end to the series that I could accept. I’m not a huge Rommel fan (and I’ve read Attacks and The Rommel Papers) outside he saw the writing on the the wall in 1943 in that Germany could not compete industrially with the UK/USA alliance. Carrying the series ...

Re: AO 1946 feedback
I have found SO 1946 an intense disappointment. So many things just don't make any practical or physical reality sense. A land based 18 inch turret is just absurdly, well stupid. It would have made much more sense to invade Nevada and capture Area 51 and have alien technology lead the way. THAT woul...

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods
Cayso, i modded the “Bloody Omaha” scenario as follows; Added BB Colorado, Brit County CA and US DD to Point Du Hoc. I also modded the units.csv to allow the Rangers to be able to capture. This allowed Co. B of the Rangers to be able to Capture Point du Hoc and hold on until relieved, just barely, u...

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods
Hi Erik, I am traveling to Normandy in about a month, so after doing some rather extensive reading on the subject decided to give your US Normandy campaign a go. The first Airborne scenarios Cotentin was fine but I had some issues with “Bloody Omaha” they were: 1: Though it’s a requirement, the Rang...

Fast Forward Broken?
I decided to do a second run thru AO1944 to pickup the elite hero from the first scenario. In the first run thru Fast Forward was working just fine but in the second run thru it has no effect. Did a patch break it?

Re: Panzer Corps goes Pacific
An interesting alternative that *Might* work is to not do Pearl Harbor and start the game with attack against the Philippines. There is a good argument to be made that Pearl Harbor cost Japan their plan for victory because it made their grand strategy of bleed the USN dry by the death of a thousand ...

Re: Panzer Corps goes Pacific
It is very hard to justify any Japanese Campaign extending past 1943. Just look at the numbers of Essex Fleet Carriers, Independence Light Carriers and Commencement Bay Escort Carriers the USN has available. Even if the USN looses all its carriers in 1942 (and we only had 2 left), that wave is still...

Re: Axis Operation 1944 Review
I tend to agree with the OP. I'm playing the Alternate History AO1944 campaign and the Narrative part of the campaign is very well done and I'm enjoying it alot. The actual game play and scenarios, not so much. I'm finding them meh at best. I'm in a good ways in and there is only 1 I've actually enj...
