I have a simple procedural suggestion for war making. When a faction declares war they use the diplomatic panel to also state their initial war goals/cassus belli (using the current peace terms). Hi Pocus, since your response came just a few hours before 1.06 came out, I wanted to clarify the response. Is there going to be another patch released prior to Christmas that will include diplomacy? Or is 1.06 the patch you are referring to?

Ludendorf, both armies are moving 4 MP's correct? It is my understanding it is strictly luck at that point, a 50/50 shot they will escape. Happy escaping!

Perhaps Pocus already has this figured out on how to handle, but as I posted in a different thread why not allow for a "meeting engagement" in a case like this? Both sides could use their attack ratings and other factors would determine who wins or loses instead of who gets picked as the attacker.

I also like the "took hits" approach for phalanx. I think scouting has merits as well. Though I think one side should have a significantly higher ratio before any advantage was gained, not just a simple majority (i.e. 1 point higher).
