Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

UK and Canada 1944 Normandy I decided to run through the campaign again mostly because it was a lot of fun the first time :) I have a few notes as I am working through it. Version 2.0 In Villiers, there is 6 Canadian air CP but no Canadian aircraft. Not a big deal because there is plenty of air powe...

FYI, the Poles are controlled by the player
WHAT! No you tell me

What I meant to say  is that there were so many Polish units and not enough action near them, the the I never moved them. But I am also lazy with unit movement sometimes. 8)

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Normandy UK & Canada 1944 1.9 Eric/Bru, My experience at Falaise was much the same as kverdon. I had mastery of the map very early, and some of the polish units never moved. It was a little frustrating to have German troops pop up out of the blue in the middle of the controlled territory. I tried to...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

UK & Canada Normandy 1944 version 1.9, lvl 3 Just played Verriers and Bois. Wanted to pass on a few things The RTR worked great in Verriers, no issues. Had plenty of CP and RP to finish about 3 turns early. Still a few hiccups on Bois. First the air exits do not work properly, The exiting aircraft j...

Re: Erik's campaigns

BrucErik CSD Studios will maybe do a US Normandy campaign at some point, similar in scope to the UK/Can version. It is a lot of work though, so not in the near future. That is something worth waiting for  While your on the US-Corp 44-45 list, I have another one to add. On Pointe du Hoc, I got...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Just went back to the US corp for the fun of it US-CORP 44-45, V1.2, Omaha Beach lvl4 The trigger for the main objective counts 6 VP's but only shows 5 when you look at the details. It appears Louvieres is used in the count, but is not identified in the details Louvieres.jpg The objective/trigger wo...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Verrieres Ridge: V1.7. I did not get very far. In the briefing there is mention of the Royal Tank Regiment, but there is no unit in the area where the map is focused on. I looked through the units and did not find any Royal Tank Regiment in the listing. I deployed some British tanks and as much Cana...

Re: BrucErik CSD Studio

Goodwood scenario : V1.5 (sorry, I was in the middle of it when the updates came out) lvl 3, standard replacements Wow :!: what a lot of units. There is plenty of RP and CP for this one. I had 91 undeployed CP for the Canadians at the start since there was only 33 RP. I had 46 undeployed British CP ...

Re: Normandy UK Campaign beta-test

I figured I would recount my last 4 days of the Epsom battle as I sit in the battalion aid station recovering from the shell-shock of the German artillery. This is my second time through each Epsom scenario since the first time was a complete disaster  version 1.5, level 3, standard rep...

Re: Normandy UK Campaign beta-test

I have to echo Bobster’s comments on JUNO D+1. I played at level 3 and got defeated handily  I scattered my forces around to work on shoring up the defenses, I spent most of the early turns just moving my forces to the Villons-les-Anisy and Buron area to stop the rout. By the time I reinforce...

Re: Normandy UK Campaign beta-test

Well you two have hit the nail on the head for me. I can continue my love/hate relationship with invasion scenarios, I especially love anything Normandy. I absolutely love trying to establish a beachhead on contested ground, but I hate it because I am not very good at coordinated attacks from land, ...

Just as a point of interest, I have the same setup Steam on Mac Catalina. I played Demyansk just a few days ago and everything played out fine.

US Crops 1944-45, Cherbourg, v1, medium level.

Erik, are you keeping secrets from us. Are you hiding objectives from us

All of the objectives are completed, but it was only a minor victory. This one went full turns also.

Re: Erik's campaigns

While cleaning my rifle between scenarios, I wrote down a few more notes US Corp 1944-45, V1, Cotentin, medium level This was a good one with the changing objectives. First off, there is a lonely german AT gun stuck in the sand. All he can do is sit and watch the whole US army roll past  Also...

Re: To buy or not to buy a core

[By the way, I hope you don't mind that I added "a core" to your subject. When I first entered the thread, I thought it was going to be one of those dreary "Convince me to buy this game!" discussions.] Spot on, Bru. You captured the true meaning of my subject. Maybe we can flip this whole thing on ...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Interesting. I think this is the first player feedback stating a US Corps scenario is too easy :D Ok, after clearing my head, I may have to take back some of my typing  I continued with my Blizkrieg ways clear through Avranches. I was always out of rp and could not keep experience in my corp ...

To buy or not to buy a core

I have something to confess that is very controversial  Moderators, you can relax your grip on your mouse, because no censorship will be needed  There is no easy way to do this, so here it is I like to buy a brand new core every campaign I start  There I said it. I know I ...

Re: Erik's campaigns

US Corps 44-45 V1.0 Omaha Beach Scenario level 3 I took a few notes while I was sitting on the beach Shellshocked. Seems like I remember the PC version of this one being a tough one. The OOB version seems to be one sided in favor of the Allied armies. I started my core from scratch and bought expens...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Erik, before I start my sleepless nights trying to work through US Corps 44-45, I thought I would pass on something I captured Germany East 1941-42, v2.7 mission ilovlya I never lost the city in the primary objective, but did not get credit at the end of the scenario. It went the full number of turn...
