Re: Steam Purchases

Thanks, As I said in my OP I already converted everything, so playing the game and DLC is no issue. Just wanted to confirm what I already thought, which you have done. Many thanks, and for me this is not an issue, quite happy to play my games on steam. But any others out there that want to play the ...

Steam Purchases

This may have been answered before. I have had a look in the forums, including a search but I didn't find anything. I just bought Allied Corps, Afrika Corps and DLC '41 from steam. My original Panzer Corps was purchased direct from Slitherine. All have been successfully installed on steam and the ga...

Re: MULTIPLAYER CHEATING

If you think someone's cheated you then make a note of the name and never accept a challenge from them again.

It would be cool if the challenge screen also listed a person "replay turn" count....

Re: Help on Army Selection

Sorry if that was offensive sounding, just being my usual sarcastic self. No problem, life is too short to be offended by anything in a forum, as I said I appreciated you taking the time to respond. Edit, oops, the Assyrian foot are actually in the early Persian lists, and you can only take 0-3 of ...

Re: Help on Army Selection

Because I don't want to have to make a scenario every time I want to play Assyrians or Egyptians. We now have DAG hotseat where you can select armies (from the books). That's what I am after. So unless you are saying you can make your own "book" from which you can then select armies in the...

Re: Help on Army Selection

*...Tumbleweed...*

Guess that's the answer then, to replicate Assyrians in FOG you need Swifter than Eagles, which doesn't look like it will ever be part of this game which is a shame....

One of my favourite periods.

Re: Hotseat DAG battle

Don't know if it is something I am missing, but there doesn't seem to be a deployment phase and the armies just appear along the edge of the board on the first turn. Update on this. The deployment phase for the first up appears to not happen, when you end turn, the second player deployment comes up...

Help on Army Selection

I am currently playing around with the new FOG and want to try out my favourite armies in a hotseat DAG; Egyptians and Assyrians (I am a fan of Charles Grant's "Apocryphal Well" :) ) As Swifter than Eagles has never been released for Digital FOG, can someone give me some alternative armies...

Re: Hotseat DAG battle

With latest release I can now create DAG hotseat games.

Don't know if it is something I am missing, but there doesn't seem to be a deployment phase and the armies just appear along the edge of the board on the first turn.

But at least Hotseat is working :)

Re: Tigers on the Hunt

Used to play a lot of SL when I was younger, had all the modules and did do some ASL, but while I thought it was the best system around couldn't deal with the long turn time and all the calculations. Maybe this game will change that.

Well worth a look, I will keep this on my radar !

Thanks Iain

Tigers on the Hunt

Not seen this game on the Slitherine forum, only on Matrix just recently. Appears to be an ASL / Squad Battles type game. Release? "Gents, beta testing started in June and as of now is at and of the process. I will be handing over to Slitherine the first Release candidate version this weekend. ...

Re: Roadmap?

Keep an eye on it (put it on your wishlist or something). As it stands, it's still a fun game, but not anywhere near living up to the potential that it can be. If they actually get to put some development work into it and deliver some of what is on that roadmap, I think it'll be well worth the mone...

Re: Roadmap?

Yes, the roadmap is way behind schedule already lol. At this point, I'm just hoping some of this stuff gets released AT ALL. I mean it took a month for 1.12 which launched last week and doesn't seem to work (hotseat doesn't even function at this point from what I can see). And I haven't seen a word...

Iain,

The Matrixgames site has crashed (shortly after your teaser reply...).

That's too much of a coincidence surely..... :D

I don't know what to say.... wow :D

I don't think I'll be alone in that feeling either.

That original game saw more of my time than any other computer game I have played.

Thanks Iain

Panzerblitz and Panzer Leader

Sorry if this one has been mentioned already, but couldn't find any mention in the thread. These Avalon Hill games are classics and lay at the Platoon level. Maps therefore have elevation and more complex LOS (hex centre to hex centre, checking the objects drawn inside the hex they cross to see if i...

Single player mainly, but like to use "hot seat" for trying stuff out.
