I thought there was a hotkey that allowed you to do this: Move an AA unit underneath an aircraft before firing at it? I believe that I just did this in Endseig with a Ctrl-click or something similar. Or, then again, that could just be wishful thinking. . . :?

Two units occupying the same hex may be a graphic glitch. We've seen this in the past. With the game engine Unity being updated issues like this may have returned. Two incidents that I described (above) were related to parachutists jumping into an occupied hex -- which they should not be allowed to...

Three save games from the above incidents. Note that reloading the save game resolved the multiple unit per hex issue by removing a unit or moving it off the map!

This has happened to me three times now after playing Endseig again: two units occupying the same hex. The first two instances were enemy parachutists landing in the same hex as existing unit. One time the original occupier of the hex was a friendly unit, another time it was an enemy unit. Reloading...

The Computer Opponent (CO) does run into ambushes occasionally, like when blundering into a hidden infantry unit in a city/supply hex or attacking an entrenched infantry unit with an anti-tank unit positioned behind it, but I have also seen it stop short or not attack. I always play at the same diff...

I'm pretty sure you can do this during deployment phase. If your goal is to have a paratrooper in a plane during deployment phase please follow my instructions. This works but it requires an unoccupied airfield that is available for deploying land units; the airstrip , with the hangar and watchtowe...

Well, the Air/Land layer toggle idea did not work. The layer is automatically selected -- and forced -- when the unit is selected. That is a bummer but not totally surprising due to the lack of a balancing mechanic like Panzer Corps' air resource availability. I guess I will never purchase any parat...

When I get home tonight, I will try the technique that, I believe, was supported in Panzer Corps: Toggle the Air/Land layer to "Air" if you want to deploy paratroopers in transport planes and "Ground" if you want to deploy paratroopers as ground troops. I knew you could do it with the scenario editor but was more interested for deployment while playing a scenario. This makes the purchase of paratroopers for my core army less likely since it wastes valuable time -- especially if there are no airfields near the deployment area -- to "mount up." Bummer

Deploying paratroopers in-flight

I am sure this has been asked before but I cannot find it. :oops:

Can I deploy a paratrooper as an airborne unit and not on the ground? I know that I can, during the battle, move them to an airfield and "jump on a plane" but can I do that during initial deployment?

I think the objective is tied to the fighter not necessarily being airborne, but I havent tried it fully. Have you? (Shouldnt be that much of a difference - just knock it out...) I believe that "Limited Awareness" means the unit cannot detect adjacent infantry that is camouflaged (like commandos) or hidden (in forests or cities), or minefields.

FWIW, I always liked the impact and uncertainty of weather in Panzer General -- especially on the Eastern Front. Snow was terrible for an attacker on a timeline but could be quite helpful after the lakes froze. Clouds and Rain were terrible if you relied on air support but great for the side who lac...

Oops, I just re-read the produce description (on Steam) and noticed "• A new wet climate type affects the battlefield: units move slower in the mud and dirt roads no longer provide any movement bonuses."

Do any other campaigns or DLC implement weather effects and is it scripted or semi-random?
