The mod adds a commander unit when you start on 39 poland, and if you dont place him in the map the mission fails. Something that phcas did to add difficulty i think. I dont like that either but its there.

Dont know if possible to do, but you can try to order them fly to a zone, drop, and then order the ground unit to move to the final zone. ???
If the drop order is not found, swap a transport plane to a ground unit if an AI controlled unit is in X zone. ???

The GC39 its mostly done but not the rest, you can play it (GC40 etc) but you will not get special units and not all have icons yet. I mean, the SS unis right now are limited to infantry and artillery for the Leibstandarte on Poland. But in the equipment files i found reserved slots for more units i...

At turn 3 of D-Day, no problems found. I do have paras and are the best infantry, helped me a lot to get an airfield. Is not a question of picture, even without icon a unit can be in the inventory and core.
If he dont get the unit to deploy i can only think in one option: you have another mod that edit the equipment.

I found that if i add a new unit class i can easy edit the bonus units so get the custom heroes bla bla bla....but then they do not capture flags like if they are artillery ( o_o)
