Re: Suggestions, wishlist and ideas for Panzer Corps 2 gamep

Good news. Now for the requests: 1) A little more freedom for players in how to fight a battle within the battle. Some of the series have scripted events for the player to follow or forced gameplay (like you WILL retreat in this certain Afrika Korps battle, because it's in the narrative), and while ...

Re: panzerlied

I've thought about this myself. Very atmospheric. Even better if it's in "leit motif" format where it plays at the right moment (like when you move a tank unit) instead of a continuous background flow. Another game I recall that did that was "Great Naval Battles II". It was a Pac...

Re: Problem updating Panzer Corps

Knowing that US Corps was due out to day. I launched Panzer Corps and it did a "Check for Update". It went out an found a 1.26 update and download and ran it. The update failed, uninstalled itself and completely messed up my installation of Panzer Corps to the point I cannot even run it. ...

Allow Free French, Polish, and Anzac Units

The original Allied General game from SSI allowed for this, so why not the Panzer Corps/Allied Corps/U.S. Corps series? Makes no sense to show Allied units in the purchase screen which ... cannot be purchased. I want my ANZAC infantry unit, I want my Free French Mountaineers, and my Polish Armored D...

I think if they just eliminated that double click, would solve a lot of problems. Really sucks when your artillery unintentionally advances in truck form to the front.

Whatever happens, for total victory (ie, USA for Germans). This.
Would be interesting. Historically, of course, I cannot help but think the Russians would have been sent packing.

Would like to see some more branching (i.e., proceed to invade Sicily or invade Balkans as choices in '43). Heck, even an early 1940 Balkans campaign for the British after Operation Compass, perhaps. Win it and have a choice to stay in the Balkins for a fictional campaign. Lose it, and back to Afric...

You are double clicking. It must be that. Seems sometimes when I make an attack, the unit advances, and if the advance discovers other units nearby, hitting "undo" is not an option. I must be double clicking or something. I'm convince this is what happened to the Germans at Stalingrad. Pa...

Please fix unintentional advance

Time and again, I attack and destroy a unit and advance without intending to advance. Can ruin a strategy.

Please make it so this does not happen, allow for some delay or somehow separate the action.

Guards units for the British. SE types, I guess?

And "losing" a scenario does not end the campaign, but maybe gets you removed for a year, to appear in command later.

Maybe, if folks are wanting to not progress to certain scenarios when they get a Decisive Victory, the game ought to give them the choice of the two paths provided by Marginal or Decisive victory results. This way, players do not "play down" on purpose.

Try flying a non-motorized infantry unit (non-core will do) to that southern port on the Black Sea and land in (and take over) that airfield. This will help as a refueling base for your planes as you pound stuff down the coast of the Caspian Sea.

IMO, the Kursk scenario is all wrong in ending up as a race west against Infantry, when it really ended as a turn east against a wall of armor. I would like to see this scenario tweaked.

I do hope some of the changes tweak units. Specifically (and this may matter more in Allied Corps than Panzer Corps), I am surprised that British Infantry has equal firepower to U.S. Infantry; the U.S. semi-auto Garand was far superior to the Enfield in putting up a wall of lead. We're talking .30-0...

Re: Green Replacements vs Elite Replacements

Hey guys, Does anyone have any thoughts on proper use of the different types of replacements? I have almost always used elite replacements but I think that is probably not an optimal strategy. Does anyone have any good rules of thumb to consider? Only on core units. Only when a unit has almost a st...

I like the idea of just being able to buy elites. Make them cost 20% more, start with 1 star of experience, but... you can only feed "elite" replacements to them (before 1945 or late 1944, then regular replacements can be used). Makes them expensive to maintain, but still worth having to a...

Save option move

I noticed that after Kursk, the choices were to go to Bagration or Italy, however the save option sort of came after the choice. Would be nice if it were at or before the choice pops up.

Problem is they can re-supply in one turn. So you can keep bombing all you want, its gonna make little or no differense. Heh. But I can't even tell whether I'm stripping a city or units of supply -- the game doesn't tell me, does it? Must have one Strategic Bomber to soften up enemy AA at defensive...
