Re: Save Leutnant Manstein?

Ignore Volkhov. Take 1 or 2 bridge pioneers with your main force through Khotovo and then east across the river. I don't ever recall him being eliminated in only 5 turns, but maybe you have to distract the Russian units to attack/defend your forces so they don't go after Manstein immediately. Also, ...

Re: edmon videos-Dark Blue Ink

Then I think you need this series as it focuses on the 1941 DLC:

TheEdmon has a different playlist for each DLC (SCW, 1939, 1940, 1941) except I don't recall one for 1942. Maybe that one is coming.

Good luck!

I can't figure out where you are looking. The link I previously provided leads to 87 episodes in the Motor Pool's Closed series. Here it is again: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrGILJcqTblVWzp3xp9yZpQ7n51xRu_K9 This is a link to his Good to Great series - note that some game updates might have ...

Look for Hexaboo, also on YouTube. TheEdmon is always thorough, educational and entertaining. Think of Hexaboo as the Cliff Notes version. I watch all of TheEdmon's videos. I use Hexaboo's when I need a quick refresher. Good luck!

Re: The Verdeja tank drives me nuts

I don't think you have the best heroes on the tank. Fearsome Reputation give 3 suppression which is not the same as kills; Overrun will not generally come into play if the defending unit has >5 SP; and Overwhelming Attack causes the unit to retreat if it takes any damage. Literally none of those hel...

You can put controls in place for Steam downloads. Under Settings > Downloads, uncheck "Allow downloads during gameplay". As an alternative, you can limit what time automatic updates are applied. Check the box for "Only auto-update games between" and set a time when you would nev...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - World Championship Round 3 Update

As someone who argued with several players to give Slitherine a chance to fix the problem, I can only say they fell short of the goal. The fix should have been retroactive. And the tournament screams for a better solution to the no-shows and quitters. And a definition of "victory" for the ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 World Championship - Official thread (1st round starting on September 15)

A simple W/L system is not the same as a round robin system. In a simple W/L tournament, it's entirely likely that out of 300+ players, at least 2 would go undefeated and be tied at the end of the tournament. It is slightly more likely that at least 2 would finish with 1 loss or maybe 2 losses. A si...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 World Championship - Official thread (1st round starting on September 15)

Here is another major concern, even when you know about the scoring problem you can still have issues. What if your opponent surrenders early? They know there is no hope? And honestly who wants to just press end turn button over and over? What if your opponent plays slow and as a result a default s...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 World Championship - Official thread (1st round starting on September 15)

A “simple W/L system” has worked for 100 years in the chess world for a reason..it works. No system will be perfect. Watching the Slitherine ‘think tank’ stumble around this issue and waste our time is very painful and certainly does not motivate players or further the product’s interest. Go figure...

you get 2000 for not playing so who cares about playing a game where you win BOTH SIDES DECISIVELY AND GET LESS THAN 2000 POINTS, I am not playing so my opponent Panzergott will get 2000 and he still has no chance of winning tournament since leaders are at 5800 points , he will be 2000 points behin...

Re: who can explain the scoring system

Hi there, who can explain the scoring system to me. I captured all victory points in round 7 and only got 333 points. Why ? What goals do I have to pursue in order to get more points? Thank you for your answers Scoring calculation is simple: 25 points at the beginning of each turn for every victory...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 World Championship - Official thread (1st round starting on September 15)

What a horrible scoring system in Round 2. I won the battle as english player in Round 5 und defend as german player until Round 14. Summary my enemy got 1480 Points and i only 1275 Points. Sorry, i am out. Reading is a valuable skill so stay in school kids. The problem, and rounds 1 & 2 soluti...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - World Championship - Round 2 Update

There are really only 2 problems with the current scoring mechanism: 1) the "bug" or bad design that stops points accumulation once the attacker captures all victory hexes. It wouldn't be a problem to win fast if you were getting credit for it. This should be a very easy fix. 2) the points...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 World Championship - Official thread (1st round starting on September 15)

So why are some of the games at the top of the leader board clearly not weak players showing such an imbalance , where i see the allies have gotten more points over a thousand in some cases and have ended the game with more than the Germans, it is not logical, I won and yet i show as lost, why am i...
