Well it look similar to the problem you had with the recruit local units decision.spartan hoplites dont so at all on fog2. I had a really strange thing just now, fighting the spartans in a few battles i didnt see any spartan hoplite converted as such. Lot of raw and citizen hoplites but just that. the description of the urban guards building say that the guards "have been known to rebel at times if the current ruler is not to their liking" but has revolt risk decreasded bonus of 15% .

propably has nothing to do with the decision but with the conversion ratio, exported battles from empires to FoG2 and have the ratio around 50% or lower a few units may not be present at all. i dont know how the game deside which unit to exclude but i can say for sure that you can experience missing...

i will try it nevertheless i am curious how this will affect the ai expansion. Will propably wait for the compination of your 3 mods into one though, since i curentlly play with the alternative armies.

The Remote Regions mod is finalised
so, what are the changes that this mod offer? more factions on the edge of the map? anyway, i like your other 2 mods ( still need to be told how to compine winter and alternative armies in order to use them both ) that is why the curiosity :)

I can confirm from my side that "recruit mercenaries" decision dont have this problem and the exported battles show mercenaries hoplites for example as intended. Same with Confederate barbarians decision. No problems so far. So maybe is the specific decision witch has the problem, or something from ...

(b) Yes, easily done. (Hopefully Slitherine and AGEOD later on can change the structure so that one mod can be used for both vanilla and DLC.)
i know that are working on a new game, but lets hope they so some more love into this one!

please note that the winter mod adds a random element (25% chance of harsh weather next turn if not harsh weather this turn, 33% if already harsh weather this turn) to whether harsh weather actually occurs that turn or not.
