Re: Field of Glory 2.0 - coming October 18th!

I'm trying to decide if I want to purchase the PC version, or the iPad version, or wait until the print on demand version is released. Do we know if the PC version is printable or not?

Re: What about the actual changes?

Other than the armor changes, have there been any other revisions made making heavy infantry impact infantry more competitive? The beta had some extras in the impact phase, and rear support for deeper formations, but those revisions no longer seem to be included. I was hoping these troops would be u...

Re: Field of Glory goes 2.0 !

If this is the future of fog and people dont like what they see then what other options are there for wargaming ancients?. I'm seriously considering returning to Warrior for my 15mm and 25mm Ancients gaming. Hail Caesar also makes a great game in 25mm, and can be used to easily have opposing armies...

Re: Field of Glory goes 2.0 !

Ian - if your format allows players to print their own copy out, I think that 90% of the concerns here are resolved. If that is not going to be possible, I think you have a guaranteed loser on your hands. And I say that as an iPad owner who is otherwise looking forward to having the game in digital ...

Re: US Open Runners & Riders

And you don't consider Norse-Irish a bold choice? Or at least not "wonderfully" so? Or maybe just a crazy one? That's okay, I plan to have a screaming blast with my horde of unprotected, heavy weapon wackoes :-) Seriously though - I rarely have a chance of doing very well at these tourname...

Viking Ally - Offensive Spear or HW

I've been looking at a Norse-Irish list using a Viking ally. What I can't decide on is whether its better to take the Armored Superior Huscarls as offensive spear or heavy weapon. Anyone have any thoughts on what they might think would be a better choice? Thanks Peter C Sword and Sandal Gaming Blog ...

900 points for the 25mm also? Probably shouldn't be. I would think that 25mm should stay at 800.

Fantastic results! I have the same figures, which I really like, but I wish that mine came out looking as nice. Have you considered painting Thracian style patterns on the cloaks? I always wanted to do that myself, but I haven't been able to figure out how to go about it. Peter C Sword and Sandal Ga...

I'm very seriously considering picking up one of the new IPad 2's. I know that there is a Kindle app for it, and if I could keep all of my rules and supplements on that, it would be fantastic! And doesn't the Kindle format have some form of copy protection that would make it more difficult to illega...

Great photo

I have some of the Romans and the TYW figures. Comparable in size to Xyston - and fantastic figures. Now I just wish there was an US distributor.

They look fantastic. And the hoplites and pike show the naysayers that it definitely possible to put 4 heavy infantry figures on a standard size 28mm stand.

I used to play the Moogs in 6's, but I find that size way too fragile. For me now, it's 8's - and I max out on Moogs, take several light horse, minimal cavalry, and then charge.

I see you have the proposed rules too. Are you going to make it to our league startup day on 2/19 at the Hobby Bunker? If so, what do you think about using V2.0 for a game that day?

Wow! Love the elephant changes. I've been adding some elephants into my Successor army just because I think the models are cool, but now, I can't wait to try them out with these rules. The Roman changes are also nice, along with the rear support for large units, the increase in importance of the imp...
