Re: Will Slitherine give Steam keys t customers losing iOS g
Guys, we have answered this in considerable detail. The idea that rewriting major chunks of the game, because Apple have stripped out support in the OS, is 'support' three years later is absurd. The game got many free updates, additions, and fixes after release. Almost no other games allow cross pl...

Hi,
It's IOS 11 release day and it reminded me to come back here and see if there was any further news?
Cheers.

Re: Will Slitherine give Steam keys t customers losing iOS g
Hi Iain, Thanks for looking into this - I suggested the same thing in another thread and was posted this way. I bought BA2 for ipad (having bought BA and a couple of other games for the PC) not that long ago, but before it was clear that it was not going to work with IOS 11 and, to be honest, I have...

Well that link told me they are at least looking into it and have asked Apple if and how they can send Steam keys to customers, so it mostly answers my questionNatus wrote:Please stop telling us to go back and look at another thread which may or may not have the answer. Just answer the question.

Re: A selection of great iOS strategy games is on sale now!
Hi, I have to say that I'm a bit upset about this news. I've bought two of your games on the PC as I do most of my gaming there but also bought Battle Academy 2 on the iPad so I could play on the go (not than long ago but before it was made clear that it would not be updated to IOS 11). I've not had...

Any plans for other games to be released on Steam as well? Battle Academy for instance?

Re: BA Development News Feed
Looks really good Pip. One thought - if you have spelled out all of the combined modifiers individually for the HE attack, do you need the combined modifiers line in there now? Also I presume in the final version, we are going to lose the duplicate 'Chance to hit' line from the AP attack, and the la...

Re: BA Development News Feed
Thanks Pip - that does explain it and I'm glad to know I wasn't being completely stupid! I think you could drop the range bracket in that case. While you could even drop the range too, personally I would still vote to keep that there as I think it does make it clearer/easier. Also I'd like to see al...

Re: BA Development News Feed
All ranges fall into a bracket of 1-2-3-5-7+ tiles. That is, calculation are based on values set for these 5 different ranges. The ranges in BA are not linear (this avoids almost all combats being offscreen) and that is what we use the brackets for. Cheers Pip Thanks for clarification Pip. I'm stil...

Re: BA Development News Feed
These look great, and easy to decipher. I had a go at doing this myself, but yours (or RobC's) are much clearer than anything I could come up with.
One question - what is the 'Range Bracket'?
Looking forward to seeing this in the next patch.

Re: Suppression
Thanks very much for the reply. I had thought shouts from the buildings or bushes just meant that you now knew they were there, but it definitely means that they are under suppression too?
Hadn't thought to check the morale for the unit (when I can see them) - thanks for that.

Suppression
Hi there, New player and I have a few questions regarding how suppression works and how I can tell whether it is working. When directing fire to a square with a question mark, how can I tell how whether I've fired at it enough to have suppressed a unit that might be hiding in there? Are some units m...

Re: Ipad version - cost?
No worries - just thought I'd point it out.
I see you've changed the price, but is it right that it only adds VAT for the download version and not for the boxed one? Should the expansions also be more expensive when purchased with the boxed version? I thought they were just serial numbers anyway?

Re: Ipad version - cost?
All done, though I ought to point out that the prices on the website are a bit confusing. It says $29.99 for both the boxed version (+download) and the download only version, but when you go to buy them the price for the boxed version changes to $39.99. You then seem to get VAT added for the downloa...

Re: Ipad version - cost?
Iain - many thanks for the reply. I appreciate that pricing on different platforms can be a sensitive subject and remember Jeff Vogel over at Spiderweb having to deal with similar issues when he released Avadon for the Ipad (and then later on Steam). I'll be honest here and say that I don't have a g...

Re: Ipad version - cost?
Thanks for the reply. That makes sense from what I know of the way the app store works and answers one of the questions. Can anyone answer the other two though? What is the likely price going to be and how similar (or not) is it going to be to the PC version? Is there going to be an editor for insta...

Ipad version - cost?
Hi there, I've recently played and enjoyed the demo and so I am about to purchase the game, but before I do I was wondering about the upcoming Ipad version as I have both a PC and an Ipad. I suppose what I don't want to do is pay £26 for the PC version now only for the Ipad version to come along a f...
