Re: After installing T&S, can't access multiplayer

Ah, so this is what appears to have happened. As a relic of of some issues long past, I have two forum accounts, IversonJM, and Miverson. Through the wonders of autofill, I registered T&S to IversonJM, while Pike & Shot was registered to Miverson. It now won't let me register my original copy of T&S...

Re: I "don't have permission to access this file or path"

I have Kaspersky as well, sot hat appears to be the problem. Unfortunately when I tried to download, I was told I had exceeded the maximum allowable downloads, so I'm stuck. Is it possible to get my link reenabled? My serial is registered for the product.

I "don't have permission to access this file or path"

I've purchased Tercio, got the link, downloaded it, but when I go to install, I get an error box saying that I don't have permission to access this file. (Sorry, but it won't let me copy the exact message). Then the downloaded file immediately erases itself. Er... help? I'm using windows 8, the same...

Re: Pike & Shot Caracole Tournament Thread

Hi John,

Love to play, but unfortunately I can't sustain a "one move a day" pace at this point.

Have fun.

Glad to see you here.

Hi Richard, yes, I'm enjoying the game very much. It's hard enough to give me a challenge but simple enough in mechanics to appeal to my 10 year old son. A good balance I think. Need to spend a bunch more time with it though...

Re: Battle of Seminara, Italian Wars.

I squeaked by with a win on the sergeant-major level. You need to: Use the hills. Xbows on the high hills to the left, swordsmen to the right on the lower hills. Alternate swordsmen and arquebusier to get the length you need. The AI will focus on the swordsmen, which will leave gaps into which the s...

Quick Question On Voluntary Break Off

Can a unit that is fighting only in overlap voluntarily break off if the unit that it is overlapping meets the requisite criteria? If I recall the rule says that breakoffs are triggered by "opponents" but it is not clear that a unit that is fighting only in overlap has one of those.

Haven't you watched the Films Pete? I believe that USA single handedly beat the Germans and any other nation was co-incidental.

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8

I'd love to do this, but given my 8 am arrival time I'll miss the bus. Is there any way to catch up? I don't want to put anyone out, but if there is a way to get in on half or three quarters of the day I'd love to do that. BTW, I've circulated to the rest of US team A. I'm fairly sure two people wil...

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8

Thank you, this is great advice. I'll start tour shopping! It's true that many Museums are closed on Mondays in Portugal. But not all of them! Museu Militar is indeed closed on Mondays. That is really worthy a visit, and we can eventually include it on Friday's tour, but many of you have been there ...

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8

I'd be up for Torres Vedras - that would be good. I'm arriving on Thursday afternoon and leaving early on Monday. As a warning Matt - we found that a lot of the museums were closed on Mondays, not much open at all. That's too bad. Unfortunately the vagarities of the airline flights from Boston real...

Re: Companion Cup VI - The glistening of spears

And ... its over. Iversonjm (Egyptians) 36/78 v. Cavehobbit 66/58 (Persians). We played fast and furious over the weekend.

In the end I don't think the Persians have a good answer to the Egyptian Def Sp./Archer/Off Sp. combo.

I apologize for the delay, and thanks for the patience.

Re: International Team Challenge 2013 Sept 7/8

We have two team members coming in Thursday who have expressed interest in touring. I and possibly one other will be coming in Friday at 8 AM, and I would like to participate as well if time allows. I know I'd love to see the Lines of Torres Vedras, but would be up for anything historical. BTW, I'll...

Any help for us ignorant Americans would be greatly appreciated . . . Erm, nope. You will always be ignorant. But about the Korean thing the list checker has made an error. Oh. We hadn't considered that possibility. Well, it's not that big a deal. Not like that 6 stand elephant unit one guy is driv...

Koryo Korean List w/ Single Field Fortification

Is there an exception in the Koryo Korean list that allows them to purchase a single field fortification? The rules clearly state that you must buy at least four, but Marc is running a list with a single FF. And, as Marc pointed out, his list was checked by Nik and reviewed by Dave, so it must be co...
