yeah I'm a little disapointed there are no mob options in WotR, they weren't common in the armies per se but it is the medieval period....guess I can use them for other armies. Otherwise I had concisdered mixing some of them in the town and country billment for flavor.

Peasants in WotR?

I have some peasant figs for my medieval collection and I'm just trying to figure out how to use them in WotR list! The closest thing on the list is Town and Country billmen but most of my peasants don't have bills, just flails and long sticks!

Basing for 20mm

so the other day I was in my local hobby shop and came across the 1:72nd scale plastic minis - Imperial romans to be specific. For 50$ on the nose I got enough miniatures to make a good sized army! The details good, I really like the proportions on them and I'll be back next week to pick up gauls an...

I imagine the FOG engine would be good for any game up to and including the horse and musket period. With of course, adding period flavour and nuances. I would be curious to know how far forward they plan to go. That's basically what I'm asking as well but I specifically interested in the AWI. I'm ...

I have a quick question on FoG and the future

I've been interested in doing the American War of independance for a long tim and I'm wondering if, assuming success with everything planned at the moment, FoG plans to cover that period at some point?

Easy questions on Roman army basing

Ok, I"ve been spending the day putting together my essex roman army together, and I'm down to war machines, archers and auxilia. I'm assuming the Auxilia are light infantry? 4 to a base, on a 40x20mm base? How about the Archers? These are Eastern Auxilia archers from essex By the way, I can nev...

Starter Army for Roman Legion?

Hey all, I'm putting together a quick 15mm Roman Legion army - VII Fulminata that served with Marcus Aurelius one of his campaigns, and I'm wondering if there's a starter army guide or something out there until the apropriate supplement comes out? If I'm not mistaken, the Roman starter army in the m...

While I'm doing my WOTR in 10mm and the basing slightly different, this army I plan to do according to the FoG guidelines to keep things simple so I'm going with 15mm. As for points, 800 pts sounds standard for tourneys so I'd probably want about 1K in troops to give myself some flexibility.

FoG army deals anywhere?

I'm looking at getting people interested in my area by promoting an 'Immortal Fire' army buildup over the next couple of months. I figure I'd lead by example by building an FoG legal greek city states army and was wodnering if there's anyone out there doing easy to purchase army deals for the system...

I've got Storm of Arrows! As for basing for 15mm, it's close, I went with 40x20mm bases because I also enjoy playing Warmaster. Actually I guess I'm not really following many FoG conventions, I'm also putting about twice as many minis on each base lol. It's not to spite the system though, it's more ...

I'm going 10mm for WOTR, they're faster and easier to paint up, look great in massed numbers too!

I'm putting together my own WOTR army and from the research I've done I think you could probably go with either. I'm sure that the shapes might mean certain things in certain instances but the only correlation I've been able to draw so far is that the more notable nobles tended to go with larger ban...

Difficult moves?

So got my rules in and my first supplement last night and they're overall fantastic! Great layout, full color is awesome, rules are mostly clear. I'm not all the way through but I do have one question - Difficult moves, I'm not sure I understand what these are. Do they just require a CMT?

Is this request for a quick REFERENCE sheet or a quick PLAY guide? I ask because I'm wondering if there is a quick start option to get to know the rules in the books themselves or located elsewhere. I'll probably sit down to play through a few solo games just to get to know the rules before I introd...
