The only place in the Old World I could think of with a desert border heading NE. All the deserts in Africa run along Eeast-West axis. And well, you know, it's the Mongol empire mod, right?

Re: Royal Hungarian Army - Turan Campaign v1.1
There will be a multipurpose AA gun availbale for purchase, a licence produced 80 mm Bofors gun, quite similar to the German 88 mm AA gun. It will be available from August, 1942. Some time ago I even wrote a Wikipedia article on the 80mm AA gun , in case you wanted to know a little more. In short, ...

Absolutely adorable unit. I always loved Italian fighter planes, but this one is a beauty as well.

###################################### Also, does anyone have some good sounds + graphics I can use for the battles? I'll need things like a bow firing, spear being thrust, launching of a catapult etc. ###################################### - BNC Not sure about arrow animations, but sounds - there'...

Don't worry, vacation time is over, which means people have less time for chatting. But I gather the interest in the first non-20th century mod is still there Keep up the good job mate.

Re: Halibutt and his toys
I knew the Polish had float planes but didn't see a need for it. However, I just realized it's great for the Danzig 1939 campaign. The first map can use it. Thanks. :) Actually the Naval Air Squadron had roughly 30 floatplanes available in 1939: some outdated Lublin R-VIII , some 20 Lublin R.XIIIte...

Re: Halibutt and his toys
And probably the last of Polish bombers - and the least-known. In the summer of 1938 Poland bought a batch of six CANT Z.506 Airone floatplane bombers/torpedo bombers. All were to be delivered by the end of July 1939, however the Italians had some problems and the first of them arrived in Poland on ...

Re: Halibutt and his toys
I know we already have a vanilla PZL.37B Los bomber, we also have an excellent icon by Bebro, but this one has a merit of being in the correct colour. Plus it has the correct escadrille insignia of the 212th Bomber Escadrille.

Re: Halibutt and his toys
After you posted a large array of hypothetical Polish units, isn't it a bit late to hop on the "but...but...but... it's ahistorical" train? Just sayin'... :P Touché :) Before you both start a "war" here just an idea. How about creating one set of icons in the historical version ...

Re: Halibutt and his toys
I like several of the icons, especially the last one. However, no Polish flags. :( One day I'll add this to my signature: no Polish flags and checkerboards because there were none. Using them is completely, utterly non-historical. Historically the checkerboard of the Polish Air Force was used by......

Re: Halibutt and his toys
And probably the last of my tankette series. It's the late TKS armed with a quick-firing 20mm FK gun (or "heaviest machine gun" as it was referred to back then). 110 tankettes (both TK-3 and TKS) were to be upgraded to this standard by the end of December 1939, plus 40 more of both types b...

Since I did the C2P tractor based on TKS tankette, why not do another version of the TKS itself? The model is by Maquinart (see the link in my previous post). Perhaps I'll try to skin it with Camo Sprayshop some time in the future. TKS halibutt BigIcon.png TKS halibutt.png EDIT/ List in the first po...

Re: Halibutt and his toys
Ok, my Polish transport collection is growing larger with every day but there is still one unit missing. It's lacking in the vanilla game, it's not in any mods so far (except for H. Balck's), yet it's really crucial. What I have in mind is the C2P artillery tractor. C2P stands for Ciągnik Dwutonowy ...

Re: DMP Add-On "Ostfront"
Well, every hex in-game has both name and attributes, which means that you can name your airfield Gary and it would still serve as an airfield, prestige and fuel included. What's more, you can even set a hex to airfield, then replace the graphic tile with open fields and set the name to "not ag...

Re: Gary's Workshop
Not many people know it, but most lorries were privately-owned and the army merely mobilised them. Hence probably a typical truck on a Polish 1939 battlefield was red with a large Żywiec Beer logo, or "W. Węgiełek" Removals :) Not that I expect any gamers to actually expect that in their ...
