Re: US Corps - Salerno Scenario Question - no POW's?

You can reduce travel time by using trains. There is a station near the A hexes which is within walking distance.

Re: Panzer Corps 10th Anniversary (11-07-2021)

Mountain move provides combat bonus in mountains (+2 or 3 defence) and higher initiative cap.
Ski troops retain full spotting in snow, and have higher initiative cap.
Initiative hero is added after bad weather and other limits are applied rather than before.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.

Great idea on the ultimate patch. Some suggestions for extras: Traits Entrenchment rate - expressed as Rate of fire relative to Infantry (set as 10). Towed AT guns can then dig in at the same speed as the infantry they are supporting. Entrenchment max - sets max entrenchment for that unit. So for ex...

Re: Soviet Bridgers not fair

was odd having my entire infantry contingent lugging makeshift bridges If I remember correctly the PGF bridge engineers were also the assault engineers. Several armies had a company of bridge engineers in the engineering battalion so this is reasonable for many armies, though I find a switch betwee...

Re: Close Terrain

Early towed AT can be surprisingly effective in hills. But often it's better to leave the first line of close terrain empty so that the enemy moves in. This keeps your artillery out of normal spotting range and traps the enemy in close terrain after getting blasted by the defensive fire. It would be...

Re: german units attack values etc.

I can't comment on Panzer Corps 2. I haven't bought it as I find isometric 3D views in other games are hard on my eyes and detract from enjoyment.

Re: german units attack values etc.

Game play is important. The best case is where there's a real benefit in this unit but it loses out on some other angle so it's worth having a mix of different models. German artillery is pretty good here. Bad examples are US artillery where the sp 155 has ridiculously high ammo count, making other ...

Re: german units attack values etc.

There are several puzzling values in Panzer Corps. Panzer IV F1 and F2 GD, Matilda1 and Valentine (which had same or better armour) GD, and Sherman armour was thicker than the Somua S35 and same or better slope but has worse GD. KwK has higher HA than PaK 37 - though the same gun, the french 47AT wh...

Re: Soviet Grand Campaign (DLC 37-41 v0.051)

The previous versions of the Japanese scenarios are surprisingly hard, especially if you don't read the objectives properly. This is a good thing.

Re: Most Difficult Level

It sounds very annoying. It might be time zone-related. Every now and then my work Outlook account lists emails I received 'Tomorrow'. Unfortunately that doesn't help fix the problem. Have you tried reinstalling the game? This is ok if you have pc gold, but very tiresome if you bought the DLCs indiv...

Re: A new Rudel youTube video

I enjoy most of Indy Neidell's stuff, and his willingness to include the less well known campaigns in China and East Africa is commendable. If he was a bit more selective with footage I would be a lot happier -some is disappointingly random 'Australians' wearing distinctive New Zealand lemon squeeze...

Great photos as always Uzbek2012. It seems that the Fiat 2000 was used in Libya. There are some very good photos on Italian sites from 1919 showing it on display in Rome and in Libya My Italian is not very good, but it looks like a replica is being built and was due to be completed later this year. ...

Hi goose2, I think that trying 45 with whatever core you are give and either double Rommel or whichever gives the enemy +5 strength would be interesting because you would have the additional challenges of not choosing your force composition, not having done any hero and experience farming and not be...

Mortars are good, and thanks for the Owen gun variant.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.

Thanks for the Australian infantry pack. These are very good. The enginners and maybe a few others will be heading into my British North African mod when I've finished rationalising my equipment files and icons. The one improvement - for Pacific theatre only - would be to replace the sten with an Ow...

Re: New Projekt: Phcas & AKRebels Mod "PAK" - ToDos / Wishlist

Inspired by your excellent pacific icons, I'm jumping ahead a bit to put in my request now for Australian infantry with an Owen gun and a CS Mark IV Matilda and Frog for company (Guille has done both Matildas recently) and a New Zealand Close Support Valentine 3.
