Re: A very interesting enemy hero
This does not sound like it is intentional at all... just show me how to ambush incoming artilllery shells! The effect of this particular hero trait should be limited to attacking units in adjacent hexes, IMO.

Some thougths on engineers (again)
In the "Order of Battle" series, engineers opened up interesting tactical choices as they are able to demolish bridges and lay minefields in that game. I realize that there has already been much discussion on engineers/pioniere units in PzC2 in this forum. In short, the conclusion was that...

Scaling individual units
Dear devs, is there any straightforward way to tweak the scale of individual unit models in PzC2? Maybe by simple file editing or (not-so-simple) hex editing? I have noticed that most units have two scale-related entries in their UnitName_Body.uasset file: "Scale3D" and "RelativeScale...

Re: Experimenting
On that note, shouldn't the Caproni Ca.331 "Raffica" be a recon plane and/or light tactical bomber rather than a fighter?

Re: Kradschutzen
Every piece of insignia is positioned and scaled individually, by hand, by way of a 'socket' object. I really don't want to be annoying, but... On that note, a few unit models do not blend in well in terms of scale at the moment, IMHO: For example the Polikarpov I-16, which seems somewhat too big i...

Re: The Navy need some LOVE
To play "panzer chess", whatever we currently have is kinda enough. I could accept a few improvements we have already seen in Pacific General - but more detail is just too much to ask at this point. I agree with you that this is very low priority at the moment. Yet I think a more sophisti...

The Navy need some LOVE
Hey, folks, thought I might share my thoughts on naval gameplay in PzC 2. While the Recon, AT (and AA classes) have gotten some decent love and substantial improvements in PzC 2 vs. PzC, the naval part of the game (though not as important in the European theatre with its few naval missions) has the ...

Re: Restricting Available Units/Custom Purchase List
Uran21 the Dev who handles the Unit list uses equipment.pzeqp not Units.csv to edit unit parameters. Yeah, thanks for the heads-up, dalfrede. I have run into some issues yet by editing the Unis.csv file straight away and leaving the equipment.pzeqp alone already. I should have done it the other way...

Re: Restricting Available Units/Custom Purchase List

Re: Swamp during Rain
Yeah - good find. IMHO it should instead be the other way round: that unit can't move out, but they CAN be attacked because they're stuck in a muddy swamp pit...

Re: Bug Reports
Not really a bug - but rather a suggestion: the Jeep/GAZ-67-mounted rocket launcher unit of the Soviet faction (aka "BM-8-8") has the "MachineGun" trait, resulting in a 1.5x rapid fire bonus. This unit is in the Artillery class, with rather high (soft) attack values due to firing...

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2
It might be a nice immersive touch if the amphibious tanks like the Soviet T-38 and T-40 actually had a dedicated amphibious movement type or a special trait that gives them an instrinsic ability for "easier minor river crossing" (independent of the second bonus ability of the "Master...

Re: Scenario: Rattenkrieg (Stalingrad)
Hey, Netscape! First of all, thank you very much for another scenario. You might want to consider changing its "editor-internal" name/descriptor to "Rattenkrieg" proper, though (or something like "Stalingrad2"). If you leave it like this, and the user happens to have co...

Re: Patch 3 is out - Improvements to AI, UI, Multiplayer, Random Maps and more
Just a little something to consider for the next patch: it would be convenient for the player that if no unit upgrade is available at all (like for the Bf 109E fighter at campaign start), the UI button for upgrading that particular unit would then (and ONLY then) be greyed out/unavailable to click.

Re: Restricting Available Units/Custom Purchase List
When switcher units (like AA to AT) are in the game by default only the primary model will be available for purchase. When you use the custom list any of them will appear in purchase screen. If you use both, both will appear in the purchase screen in their respective class. Interesting. If this is ...

Re: Briefing - Set Portrait
Hi, NETSCAPE! A quick research shows: The briefing portraits of the German officer are located in /PanzerCorps2/Content/Gui/Briefing/Images. Those assets are DXT-compressed DDS 2D textures, 654 x 544 pixels, RGBA 32-bit. The commander's portraits for player customization at campaign start are locate...

Re: Bug Reports
Thanks a lot, uran21 - it's great to see you guys are dedicated to improving and further developing the game. Maybe the prestige/slot issue with the Italian sub got fixed in the meantime, or I messed it up myself as I am fiddling around with the files heavily... Some things I've no...

Re: Bug Reports
In its submerged state, the Italian submarine ("Marcello" class) is missing the Camouflage, NoZOC and IgnoresZOC traits that the other (submerged) subs have. Also, the surfaced Marcello unit has different prestige/slot cost than the submerged entity (which might be a problem/exploit when c...
