Re: Erik's campaigns

Banzai.png Hi Erik, I did all the scenarios in Banzai and kept notes. Hope these help. Overall, Order of Battle-Banzai Overall, even playing at the advanced level, it is quite easy. Only the first scenario was challenging, and just because the engineers could not get to the mines in time because of...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Force 10 Specialization. That makes sense. As for Scenario 10, Dover, two fixes needed. 1) There is no place to deploy the 2 aircraft allotted. 2) The Do Not Lose Renown Victory condition stayed undone, even though Renown survived. Screen Shot 2020-09-15 at 12.02.06 AM.jpg My compliments, though.

Re: Erik's campaigns

Banzai 1939-41! Up to last scenario in Force 10, wondering what I could play till the next Erik special comes out and here it is! Had a lot of fun in Force 10, especially cutting of most of the German army from supply in at least two of the scenarios, but I found a few minor bugs: After about 4 scen...

[Gameplay Bug][unable to put replacements on map][8.5.4]

iMac, Catalina In earlier versions, if I had extra CP points in mid-game and tried to deploy a reserve unit, I could click "Purchase" and open both the purchase screen and the reserve unit list on the left, and then place a reserve unit on the map in one of the highlighted placement hexes. In 8.5.4,...

Frankly, I'd be fine if they never did an OOB 2 and, instead, "finished" WW2 and expanded into other historical eras.
I've always thought this game could be modified into a US Civil War game. But Damn I love it as it is.

Comments for Bru & Erik Normandy UK & Canada 1944 Wow. Excellent campaign put together by two greats in the field, Bru & Erik! More delightful hours. I can’t thank you guys enough. And what I’ve seen so far is, to quote ColonelY, “magnificent.” Version: Listed as version 2.2 29-2 -2020 but last modi...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Okay. Okay. I know I am a broken record. I know these pages are mainly for error reporting. But I just can't stop myself from saying something else once again. I'm going through Germany West 1944 and 1945 and I just can't help from marveling how well designed these are. None are easy (I have given i...

Re: Erik's campaigns

US Corps, 44-45 Comments My deepest thanks for this campaign too, to both Erik and Bru. Each scenario has its quirks and secrets, and I think it is the best in the OOB universe. I admit, I could not win the last 5 or so without selling warbonds. As Dwight pointed out, you can win and save RPs by goi...

Re: Erik's campaigns

One of the comments still stands: Avranches is not winnable. 2) Avranches: To win, you have to exit ten units but with only 24 turns and two exit points, it's impossible. That means you have to get through those heavy German defenses and capture one of the exit points by turn 14, or both by 19. I c...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Thanks for the feedback. But...as you noted as well, I need some details about any issues to be able to fix them. That said, if you played the updated US 44-45 campaign after Bru's sweep, the victory objectives should work. Right. I later noticed there was an update. One of the comments still stand...

Re: Erik's campaigns

US Corps 44-45 Player feedback: I've only played six scenarios (some many times) but have some comments: 1) Many of the victory conditions don't work, meaning you accomplish all the goals and just get a draw or minor victory. I should have kept notes on all such scenarios, but didn't. Cherbourg and ...

Re: Erik's campaigns

US Corps 44-45 Comment on: US Corps 44-45 V1.0 Omaha Beach Scenario level 3 I took a few notes while I was sitting on the beach Shellshocked. Seems like I remember the PC version of this one being a tough one. The OOB version seems to be one sided in favor of the Allied armies. I started my core fro...

Re: Erik's campaigns

US Corps 43-44. Once again, the amazing Erik has put together a campaign that is keeping me away form both work and sleep (only halfway through so far) Medium difficulty level: enemy has 12 strength. Resources scare: Up through scenario 5 I have not yet once been able to field all units I could have...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Hi Erik, Another round of awesome campaigns. It is because of you my OOB game time is up to 4911 hours. I can't tell you how grateful I am for making what I think is the best game out even better. Someday I'm going to hunt you down in Norway to express my thanks in person. So now I'm doing Africa Co...

Re: Erik's campaigns

You are the best. Thanks to you, I now have 4600 hours in OOB play time. I'm supposed to be producing a magazine and working on an online Harvard grad School course, but get tempted to play my second time through the whole German campaign.

Re: Erik's campaigns

Wacht am Rhein. Another good campaign thanks to Erik, and as he says, we owe thanks to the Panzer Corps folks. I have found a number of minor errors that do not affect game play much, such as victory conditions not recognized. But the big one is scenario 8, Widening, that always ends on turn one end...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Hi Gabe, Your solution was almost the same as mine. Paratroopers take northern airbase and then cutoff rod supply, which is what kills them in the end. One of my aircraft was a bomber that I could also use to remove 3 point supply sources. The rest of the army, after that brutal panzer attack, moved...

Desert Rats Medenine

Hi players, Desert Rats, there are some great scenarios in there. I love game play that makes you think carefully about how to use armor, air, supply, and even infantry. One I have trouble with is Medenine. If anyone has won it in 20 turns, at normal settings, tell me how. I used the editor to set i...
