Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

To Idunno, "i downloaded the US 43-44 and 44-45 campaigns and installed them in my campaigns folder, they showed up in cutom content list but the problem is whenever i start a mission, the loading bar freezes. Same thing goes for op market garden and normandy US campaigns." By any chance a...

Old versions that are Mac runnable

This is mainly to Erik, but I'd like to thank Bru, conboy and everyone else who have made such damn good campaigns. I have a whopping 23,000 hours play time in OOB and a better life because of you. But I have a problem. Slitehrine stopped doing Mac version updates of OOB in 2020 or so. As a result, ...

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

Thanks for the new campaigns and mod. Unfortunately, none of the first scenarios in any of these open on my Mac, presumably because Slitherine stopped updating the app for Macs. I am not sure I can fix this situation; changing to Windows is not that easy. I will at least keep playing the old campaig...

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

It looks like being a Mac user has finally caught up with me. All the new things Erik has put up this summer and fall hang on loading the first scenario. I'm guessing that is because OoB stopped putting out Mac-compatible updates a couple years ago. Oh well. Just keep playing the old ones or get a W...

Thanks. Probably because as a Mac user, Slitherine no longer updates OoB :|

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

Banzai ´42: second mission( Dutch Indies ) victory conditions not working properly. Take HQ not recognized. Thanks. Found a stupid little trigger mistake. I've updated the link (same version number). I just started Banzai 42 and after a fine 1st scenario in Singapore. Sumatra, the 2nd, failed to ev...

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

******* Perhaps nowadays not very well-known (though), the French pilots were certainly not to be underestimated. 8) :D ******* ... idem ... I felt the France 1940 campaign was a wonderful way to teach us about some great French heroes and the way the allies did not properly respect de Gaulle. The ...

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

That is odd. I nuked my way through the scenarios and they all loaded fine. Maybe your issue was a one-time glitch? Thanks for taking the time to do that. I had redownloaded the Squad Mod, nuked from Guam, and it froze at Malaya 1. Today I set the difficulty at level 3 and nuked all the way to Tonr...

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

ctskelly Thanks for reporting. The scenario after Guam is actually 'Tonri - Tearing Into Siam' (scenario folder name 08Siam) and there is no beach landing involved. So I'm confused about which scenario you mean. The only beach-invasion scenario after Guam is Wake. I tested this in single-player, wo...

Re: SquadMod 1.0

SquadMod 1.0 Link added in first post. Designed for 40m-hex scenarios using squad/platoon-sized units. Artillery units have much increased ranges. Air units have double movement. Cav units have increased movement from 6 to 8. Horse and Truck transports does not consume land command points. Halftrac...

I do, from June 2020. Where should I send them? My regular mail is ctskelly at gmail.

And why do you need them? I am having no out-of-the-norm troubles with 2021 scenarios.

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

Erik, I probably already asked this, but couldn't find anything with the search function: At what difficulty have your campaigns been tested? Are they winnable at level V? Has anyone ever tried them at such level? How difficult are they compared to the official winter war dlc? I always play at the ...

Re: Free France Campaign

Bru, I've finished all the scenarios finally and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are a couple that are literally impossible to win at the most advanced level, such as D-Day bit, but maybe that should be. This is what I enjoyed the most: It illustrated a part of history I knew little about. There aren't...

Re: Free France Campaign

I want to join the chorus thanking Bru for this excellent campaign. Lots of tough scenarios that tend to be big and long, but I'm enjoying every minute. I've just reached Corsica. I can see lots of replay value in that many of the scenarios allow different strategic approaches. In Corsica, for insta...

Re: Erik's campaigns & mods

Lots of fixes, but I haven't noticed much new stuff coming out (except for a few from Bru) Is anyone working on a new campaign? King Erik? Has your passion for OoB shifted to somewhere else? Re: Erik's campaigns

Hi all, Just went through the Red series of OoB campaigns again. They were fun and sometimes challenging, but I could not help feel that the best game scenario designers are right here. I understand that some of the campaigns here were adopted from PanzerCorps, but even if so, I can still see the ge...

Re: Erik's campaigns

Addendum to Forgotten Army Bugs above. I wrote above that the last scenario is super easy. Some ways you could make it challenging are: 1) Remove all land unit points! I reduced mine to just 9 Indian land unit points and still won in 36 turns (3 units and 2 airborne that come in, plus 2 colonial uni...
