Re: Drop pods

I love AARs, if you've got the time I'd definitely be interested! I haven't played as Noxium yet, looks like you'd do a lot of rush building with a higher tax rate? And maybe expand a little quicker (or beeline habitat techs) to offset the habitat penalty? What I discovered is going about it half-h...

Drop pods

After something like 10-15 games, I've finally figured out how to play Noxium economic style, and won a game on medium, but that's besides the point of this topic. Crucial to that win were transcendance-tier infantry drop-podding all over the enemy territory during the war that won me the game, forc...

Re: Suggestion: Building wealth is overpowered

This thread answers quite fully why I could never get an economic victory... I thought it was just the credits! Now I have a much better idea how to win my next Noxium game.

Re: Suggestion for trade treaties

We were thinking of implementing a buy/sell for food and minerals. Imagine buy and sell buttons at the bottom of the economy panel. Sorta like a marketplace; costs could fluctuate based on availability. Can't think of a name of a game that had that right now, but it's been done before. Ah, HoMM I g...

Re: Suggestion for trade treaties

Seconding jdmillard. Trade goods sounds like a completely unnecesary complication, while exchanging gold for food/minerals would actually be very useful, and might end up as an awesome variant on the economic runthroughs.

Re: Any plan to make this game more strat and less constant

Funny thing is, I'm having pretty much the opposite problem: I feel like when playing for a tech victory, other nations are too easy to appease. 1 basic colonial with a flamethrower per city to keep the bugs and such away, 1 mineral city, 1-2 food cities, and 3-4 tech cities. Whenever they drop to &...

Re: Pandora: First Contact has officially been released! :D

I've just recieved an email from the support staff with the linux version. I'm very glad for the prompt help, although they should still consider changing "PC" to "Windows" to avoid future confusion.

Re: Pandora: First Contact has officially been released! :D

I assumed, based on my experiences with humble bundles and steam, that buying would unlock it for every platform (which is incredibly reasonable). I sent an email to the support staff, thinking being offered only a .exe file to download was some sort of error or bug. Then I hopped onto the forum to ...
