Re: Help me with my 800 point Gallic & Galatian lists

Well, keep this in mind. Your warriors are Impact Foot/Sword. Other than being disordered, they do not lose out like Spear/Pike. Plus, they are still Superior. They will still be a serious threat to most In-period opponents.

Re: Generals

I am thinking you will see more FCs on the table. Cheaper than two TCs, with the ability to control 4 BGs in a battle line by himself. 8" CD. +1 PBI. I have been playing with the Idea of a FC and three TCs all for 155 pts. I think it is a good middle ground. But I have not put it to the test ye...

The different colors represent the three file of two bases. Assume that all BGs are Steady, and all bas...

Mine arrived today, and I am in Mississippi here in the States.

Fortunately, I bought it for myself.

Re: Version 2 Poll (Version 2)

I picked maybe, as it would depend on the cast of the app/ebook. If it is already the cost of a print copy and then I still have to pay for printing and materials? No, I will not.

Re: Field of Glory goes 2.0 !

Yes, the developers do need to be aware of the changing environment, and keep up with developing technologies. I see no issue with this. But there are limitations to the new technology, and there is also the simple issue of customer preference. I think the developers are willing to risk alienation o...

I seem to be having an issue with the costs of pike and shot regiments coming out right. In the books, the MF Musket troops are 8 points, but the sheet always comes out to 7. I was looking at a Later Thirty Years German list from Wars of Religion. I have tried listing the MF musket troops first and ...

Just like in any good WWII simulator, or even board game, the room for errors and or bad luck is quite tight for the Axis. The Allies have plenty of room and are much more forgiving. The Allies have time on their side. For the Axis, time is an executioner's axe. Because of this, the Axis have to be ...

Just to nudge the topic a bit, I am thinking about this army as well, and have been trying to shop for models in 15mm, and am coming up empty. Obviously Nubians and Greeks have other model lines, I am having trouble actually finding the Egyptians themselves.

Any thoughts?

All the Medieval German Lists ( German City Leagues, Later Medieval Feudal German, and Later Medieval German) have Armoured/ Average/ Drilled or Undrilled/ Def. Spear. The former two can have lots of bases (36), while the Later German can have 12, but only at Drilled.

Spray Primers

Ok....So today I was working on painting my army when I realized I was going to need more primer. Considering I needed it now, I got in the car and ran to a few places. The only black spray primer I could find was GW, and boy haven't they became proud of their stuff..$15 (USD) a can!! Now I like GW'...

I am running Late Medieval German in 1457, so I do run Mercenary Men-at-Arms (Kn, HA, Ave/Drilled, Lan/Sword)in a BG of 6, a TC, and with a BG of 4 Lighter Men-at-Arms (Cav, Arm, Ave, Drilled, Lanc/Sword) as support. So far it has worked rather well. So when I build an earlier list, should the Undri...

Knights in 4's or 6's?

An offshoot of the Cataphract Poll, when using knights, what determines #bases/BG: Quality (Superior, Average), or Training (Drilled/Undrilled), or a mix of both?
