Re: Superior BGs in ancient spanish list

Thanks Pete, this is exactly what I was thinking. So, if Andy is not showing up with a different view, I can keep my decision.

Re: Undrilled Foot moving close to an enemy BG

Well, if the enemy is (even sligthly) less away then 3 MU, the foot can't move. (Unless it has a general with it, of course.)

Superior BGs in ancient spanish list

Hi folks, a player contected me with an interesting question about the ancient spanish list concerning the FoG 2.0 revision. Since FoG 2.0 he is allowed to field up to 1/3 of the BGs of scutarii and heavy caetrati as superior. Now the question arises what happens if he takes an spanish allied contin...

Re: Allies on flank march

Well, there is no direct connaction between the term "their commander" and the term "commander in line of command" in the rules. I personly until now read the term "their commander" in the flank marching section as "the commander, that led the flank march." The interpretation now given here would tr...

Re: Field of Glory goes 2.0 !

tldr, anymay, here is my opinion: I do not own any computer that is able to run the applet needed for FoG 2.0. I thereby figure you just don't want me to by FoG 2.0, and so I will not do. It sounds to me like a silly idea anyway using a software distribution channel for a typical print product. I wa...

Sea Peoples with Early Libyan allies

Hello together,
a question concerning the early libyan allies option of the sea pleopes list.

Do get it right, that alltough the early libyan can field sea peoples as allies only from 1208 BC, the sea peoples can field early libyan allies earlier?

Hi Dave, I would not expect a FoG R tournament in Germany soon. Whe don't have that much historical wargamers in germany in general, and only some of them have renaissance armies, allthough FoG:R seems to cause a ruch towards that epoche. How about a tournament in FoG:AM? The landscape dosn't change...

Yes the current system is logical from a pure mathematical stand point but players struggle with it and it doesn;t take many players struggling for the end result to be chaos. Hm, I still don't really see a problem. Why does it struggle people? Actualy, players on tournaments don't have to do the s...

Your comment would be more useful if you outlined why you object to 3-2-1-0... or indeed any simplified scoring system for that matter. Its just that Karsten and Martin created the ranking system which involded a huge amount of work and is build on the 25:0 system. I think they could live with any ...
