I think it's (rushbuy cost of new equipment) - (1/4 rushbuy cost of discarded equipment). I don't think there'd be any problems with your suggestion of the old unit being fully refunded. I usually end up just producing new units because I use all my credits to rush buildings in non-production cities...

We've been discussing making the city become neutral (uncontrollable) during the takeover. That way we can do whatever we want with it during the transition period. Would that also remove it from faction-wide resources (most specifically food) and mean it would need to be self-sufficient or starve?...

Production also skyrockets once you have factories (+175%), morale buildings (+140%), the advancement that adds 25% production, in size 20+ cities with almost all workers next to Xenite flowers.. it seems to be a good balance in the couple of games I've got that far along.

I usually skip Xenology, going for tanks instead... the aliens aren't much of a threat once you have Avengers (unless you're landlocked on a large pangaea..) Hi Rok, it's a bit off-topic but any chance of being able to mod the AI morale bonus for difficulty levels? I'd like to increase difficulty (without having to mod the factions every game or by holding back growth in some way).

If it's at all possible at some point it'd be much appreciated!
