Re: Northern Classic 2020

If you did it as a doubles competition you could have double matched pairs i.e. one of the partners plays Serbian vs Ottoman and the other plays Ottoman vs Serbian. That way any bias in the match up evens out. You could also have unequal points that way.

Re: Amendments to V3?

Making it easy to get the books outside of the UK should be a given. Why not inside the UK, too? I recently bought a PDF copy of ADLG for just €5. Doing similar for FOG (and the army list books - which were included with ADLG) might just tempt some of the dozens and dozens of players we've lost to ...

Re: Amendments to V3?

.The difficulty in getting the books (and the cost) is preventing growth here in the US now. A great shame! I would have thought making the set available as a PDF would have been a smart move. Better to sell some at, say, a tenner than none in book form. The world of FOG-AM really needs some positi...

Re: Lithuanian Army Lists?

Hello, I'm not the designer but am aware of his rationale. The thinking was to reduce the number of army list books from lots down to 3 to save on cost to players and there were casualties.

Re: Bursting through FOGAM2/FOGR

Thanks Graham, that kind of clarifies it. The only point we seem to differ on with you is that the evaders are destroyed. If a BG is forced to burst through and there is no room beyond it is destroyed as per page 51. I think the "cannot complete an evade move by any of the above, move as far as the...

Re: Bursting through FOGAM2/FOGR

In V2 this is page 72, left hand column, 5th sub bullet. Which says the cavalry are burst through. So they are and drop a level (note that the 'burst through' does not need the LH bases to be physically moved to the other side of the cavalry). Now look at the seventh sub bullet, which tells you that...

Re: First Round Draw

We are struggling to make contact with Jon. If anyone is able to contact Jon on social media or similar please do so. I am still hopeful that he is okay and will be able to join us but with only a week to go I thought I'd reveal the 1st Round Draw. The draw was made independently by a club member, ...

Re: Warfare 2019

Folks, I've sent the following theme to Tim Child to put up on the Warfare website. The only aspect I'm not 100% clear on is the game timings (so I've copied the ones from last year). 1. Theme: Northern European Dark ages - 15mm, 800points, 6’ x 4’-ish tables Army date must be between 585AD and 1149...

Re: Warfare 2019

I’ve corresponded with Tim and he suggests that if you want to go email tournaments@wargamesreading.co.uk and let them know you are interested; that way if they have competitions that don’t sell well our allocation might be increased.
