Hmm I took the 'omitted' bit on flank marchers to indicate they were out of the equation for the setting up of the 4 deployment groups.

Otherwise you'd have the possibility of wanting to send 3 on a flank march but having too few BGs to have those 3 in a deployment group together.

What would be useful for those of us less in the know (like me) is somewhere where suggestions like Bill's can be stickied...someone comes up with 'List X is needed' and someone else says 'This list is published and would do well for it'.

I have a Maccabean Jewish army. I bought this as army deal from Essex and I've added some Thracians to it but I am considering a few 'imitation legionaries' as well. The Thracians I could work out with a bit of use of wiki to check that the Rhomphaia was what I needed. However this is my first foray...

I can think of two ways of looking at it.... 1) No matter how you do things then there will be some places in any ruleset where it shows that this is a game, not really a battle. 2) If they got into a tight space would a bunch of light cavalry without space actually parade ground wheel and move, or ...

...secondary Q

Thanks for the info :)

I assume therefore that the same answer holds true for those units where the term 'Replace..' is used instead of 'Upgrade..' or 'Downgrade...'

Hullo and HELP!

Well, finally signed up as my army starts to get assembled. The Ancients players have dragged me back in and away from FoW at my club. FoG convinced me to actually invest in my own army - and 4 months after buying it I am getting round to the dreaded painting. So, Hi y'all and I have one question on...
