Re: Supply Rules Seriously Flawed

Is there a potential balance issue with limiting supply to specific hexes or similar? Just take and hold the supply hex and you've won. Well, strictly speaking, it is working exactly like that. If your unit stands on a hex that is connected to a friendly supply hex by any accessible way, then you g...

I'm finding the 8.8 to be very weak against air units. Not sure its worth purchasing, certainly in the early MP scenarios (France etc) fighters are a far better option. What am I missing?

Re: Supply Rules Seriously Flawed

PC1 supply rules sucked. PC2 supply rules have the POTENTIAL to be much better, but is marred by some bad design choices: - all or nothing implementation, compounded by encirclements adding acc penalty, init penalty AND suppression* - unlimited paths, except impassable terrain - inability to trace t...

Re: Ardennes 1944 AKA Battle of the Bulge

This is me on Generalissimus with a ton of negative traits: Bastogne requires very little effort. Let you main attacks go north, using artillery and armor and antitank. Don't use planes much. You don't need them and weather hurts planes. You have a LOT of time, so don't stress. https://youtu.be/1E27...

Re: AT support fail?

The reason AT units don't support other AT units is the same reason Fighters don't support other Fighters units. If you think of it like that, it makes sense. No one ever questions or ask why fighters don't escort fighters, do they? Arty supports arty because suppression based support...

Re: How do you lose?

Always support your units with defensive fire. Always.
Never overextended. Never.

Use Perimeter Control to maximize your retreat chances and supply situation.

And if you do lose a unit, it's war, people die.

Or reload.

Hi...not directly related to the question but in Bragation why I cannot reinforce the auxiliary forces??? it will really help me....also after several tries I abandon the bonus objectives...I will be lucky to hold my corner of the map.
Because the scenario is designed that way.

Re: Soviet infantry moving across rivers?

That's not the same. This is inf moving fully across a river in 1 move, without stopping on it. it is the same, the river defence line was my reaction to the river hopping, the Ai infantry still tried it en masse. I put in a blocking force with arty and they just kept on coming instead of me having...

Re: Soviet infantry moving across rivers?

It would also need to be included on the tool tip in-game so that players that don't read the forums understand what's going on! I don't think it stops minor rivers being reasonable places to make a defensive line. If left unguarded they become little more than a speed bump - which is all they real...

Re: Soviet infantry moving across rivers?

This happens when infantry unit stands next to a river and activates "forced march". So, it's not only AI which can do it, you can do it too. :) This can be fixed, but perhaps the players will prefer the current behavior? :) As long as we know this is a feature, I can live with it, although it's an...

Re: Russian conscripts

I don't really understand this point. Balanced units is not (necessarily) benefiting SP. Cause Germany in the early years of the war were superior to their adversaries. That doesn't mean all their equipment were better but tactics, doctrines, training, etc were better and needs to be represented in...

Re: Russian conscripts

Yes that crazy high CD on engineers is what keeps conscripts in check. Engineers for CD encounters, vehicles for open terrain engagements. That said, if you find conscripts supported by multiple support units... it should be pretty easy to outmaneuver them in any given MP map. It takes a lot of pre...

The 90s hard Sci-fi rpg 2300AD had hover tanks.

They were really fast and ignored a lot of terrain.

Now I want a scifi version of this game

Especially on higher difficulty crossing rivers without support can be dangerous to tanks. Useful, but have to be careful.

So, I’m about to become very unpopular…… I have been playing both PC games (mostly historical) and miniature wargames longer than most here have been alive, and know my history pretty well. I have read and studied WWII for over 40 years and looked forward to the release of Panzer Corps 2 with much ...

It's cute to be able to cross minor rivers, but it's hardly the best trait out there.

(in the beta it allowed you to cross major rivers too - that was OP)

Re: Upgrade-refill - Work around for Green Army

Heroes are indeed locked in at game start. Duplicate heroes are semi-common; they are randomly assigned, and there is NO duplicate check. This playthrough I have 2 Cheap Replacements (meh) and 2 Shock Tactics (good). Last time I got 2 of the fast rebase hero - in a row IIRC. I wanted to scream... bu...
