Re: to overstrength or not?

If you want this arcade game to be more of a simulation than a game, play without overstrength or heroes as they simply are a way for players to bulldoze their way to victory without resort to skill or tactics. If you must play with heroes limit them to one per unit if you want a challenge.

Re: Barbarossa Campaign

Moscow is the first battle I have had to do over in this game. The first time I won but spent over 7k on replacements. The second time I was more cautious but left the last city Kalinin with one! strength point of Russians in it at the end. Finished with lots of prestige though, but a loss. The thir...

Re: Barbarossa Campaign

Try watching Edmon's Moscow video just released today. I believe he has broken the game by utilizing a completely unbeatable killer combo of heroes. He has one flammenwerfer tank that destroys three units per turn ,limited only by ammo. He has driven straight into Moscow with no trouble at all. I ha...

Re: Barbarossa Campaign

Position anti-tank and/or 15 cm artillery behind your front lines and the Russian armor will immolate itself attacking even infantry or recon cars. I personally find this game(not simulation) easier than PC1. Too many fantasy heroes and gamey tactics the human player can use and the AI does not. You...

We are in need of a definitive explanation for the uses of heroes. Hopefully it will one day show up.

Re: What good are captured units?

To be useful and worthwhile captured equipment should have reduced core slots. As it is I have never used them. they simply clutter up my screen. At least make them sellable, even at a reduced price.

Re: Infantry close defence

Pioniere Engineers need to be much rarer. Either limit them to two or raise their core slots cost.
Grenadiers should actually be the heavy hitters of the infantry. They are the ones with lots of mortars and MGs. Their close defense right now is ridiculous. Raise it.

Re: Revised Campaign Path

Annoying that this surprise was so unexpected. Thought I was doing well with 3700 prestige at FM.
Instead I will have to go back to Crusader and lower my level to General in order to save up enough prestige for the unhistorical path. Once on it I can then raise level back up to FM

Re: What do Panzer Corps veterans feel about PzC2?

The new core slot system has made this game much more ' realistic'. No more Uber cores filled with Tigers/Konigtigers that were totally historically impossible in PC1. Naturally the game will be harder with more historical cores. I especially appreciate the fact that all units now take casualties in...

Re: What do Panzer Corps veterans feel about PzC2?

I have many incorrect clicks due to poor graphics. I spend too much time vainly searching for air units hidden behind city names which also often hide combat predictions. Terrain often hides smaller units like artillery and AT guns. I think units should be emphasized over terrain in the game. PC1 gr...

Re: Coronavirus and delayed shipping times

Not that I am suffering but I originally tried to order the Field Marshal edition on the Matrix website using my 6 year 21% discount coupon. Nothing happened as it was pending on my credit card account for a day or so then deleted. As I thought there might be a problem with the Field Marshal edition...

Should at least have a victory parade, complete with ticker tape and airplane(jet) flyovers. A medal presentation would also be nice. :D

Re: New Difficulty Level for Grand Campaign

Since overstrength is the standard ploy for countering Manstein level forces, you do seem to be in a quandary w/o adequate prestige and experience to do so. I believe I once predicted that getting past 1942 would be extremely difficult with this option. Hope you can prove me wrong. :) Just a coincid...

Division A

The benighted peltast handicapped Lysimachids of shawkhan2 earned a victory over Sennacherib's Indo-Greeks, he surrendering rather than allow me the enjoyment of ransacking the battlefield. Score 26% to 12%.

Re: Suggestions for Improvements

In cases where both sides use some of the same units it would be nice if there was some indication of which side a routed unit belongs to. Perhaps a colored corner on the banner?
