Re: How do I use Godankey.com key for free DLC?

Indeed! Glad to be of assistance. :) I hope you like the game. Winter War is a challenging but fun dlc. If you ever need some help or tips the main forum here is a good place to ask.

Re: How do I use Godankey.com key for free DLC?

Yes, that sounds like a plan. The base game is naturally free at Steam also and you don't need any keys for it (just click the install or play game button to download it).

Re: 'Tanks, more tanks, Tovarish!' - Red Star Review and Discuss

I'd think an objective like "fighters deal XX pts of damage to enemy aircraft" might be the one. It has been used before and then fighters are indeed a requirement.

Re: How do I use Godankey.com key for free DLC?

Unfortunately I don't have a steam key - I just loaded the free OOB WWII directly from Slitherine. I meant try the key you have ("I received a key from Godankey.com.") at Steam. It is possible the key is for Steam and anyway it is worth a try. Just go to Steam and activate the game (Games -> Activa...

Re: How do I use Godankey.com key for free DLC?

Well I tried my best to figure out how to actually use this key but I am completely stumped! I updated my version of OOB-WWII to v8.1.0. Then I re-ran the v8.1.0 installer and selected the "Activate DLC: button, selected "Order of Battle - Winter War", entered "xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx" and clicked "Activ...

Re: 'Tanks, more tanks, Tovarish!' - Red Star Review and Discuss

No problem, Bru. :) Been there with mod's editing powers and you had to be careful with them. Though my fav was the banning power in those boards where I was an admin. Yes, KV-2 it is and the pic was originally posted by Spike (thanks!) and he was then wondering what the guy in the Kubel w...

Re: 'Tanks, more tanks, Tovarish!' - Red Star Review and Discuss

[Cool, I apologize. I meant to quote your post but I hit the edit button instead (my one forum moderator power) and I overwrote what you said. I'm sorry. You expressed support for my gameplay at Smolensk, saying I would have won it if I had played it again (perhaps, but I was too battle-fatigued to...

Re: [Re-]Crossing the Rubicon on "Unreliable"

The idea was actually Kondi's. :) I like it and like terminator's variant also. But for now let's be happy with the current version and that it stays.

Re: Crossing the Rubicon on "Unreliable"

[...] do you click on the terrain hex type window to change it to unit traits every time you move a unit? I'll be damned. Thanks Bruce! I was looking for this since the beginning. And I've always wondered how they could've forgotten to put in the unit's trait info... turns out, they didn't.....

Re: Current Bugs - Version 8.1.0

Yep, that's the case. Also for example when in the beginning of a scenario you make an attack with a "10" strength unit and the prediction is 0 losses (not 0+) and you still annoyingly take a loss -> same thing. OoB is very precise with its fractions. :)

Re: Crossing the Rubicon on "Unreliable"

EDIT. However, good idea would be to introduce different levels of unreliability indeed e.g. current trait = unrealiable 3 increased current trait = unrealiable 4 (for Jagdtigers, Maus and E-series) softened versions = unrealiable 1 and 2 for example I could use them eg for T-34s from the beginning...

Re: 'Tanks, more tanks, Tovarish!' - Red Star Review and Discuss

Re guards, I still hope we get a little change on this spec which makes it slightly more "accessible". The spec is good as it is, but the unit itself (Guards '41 - '45) should have better stats. Like noted By WarHomer and others, the "Marines" (should be Naval Infantry - please correct the name) ar...

Re: Current Bugs - Version 8.1.0

Yes, experience makes Elite Repair more expensive, but I observe this effect when upgrading full-strength units with no reinforcements involved. And I've seen both higher and lower XP units (than the identical "reference" unit) affected by such higher costs. This is because the game uses fractions ...

Re: Crossing the Rubicon on "Unreliable"

Because, in example: British (or Western Allies) future GC - Sptfire VC appeared in spring 1942 over the Western Desert but in Burma DLC - Spitfire VC appeared in 1944, additionally there were only Sherman and Grant tanks in Burma, no Churchill, Cromwell or Comet etc. so it is necessary to create d...

Re: Crossing the Rubicon on "Unreliable"

Kondi, as one of those interested in your mod, there's something I'd like to ask: is it possible to use only your units.csv -file to benefit from your work? Or is it like a whole package i.e. you have made such changes that the mod can only be used in those DLCs to which you have made a complete ove...

Re: Crossing the Rubicon on "Unreliable"

I dont think the trait does anything to avoid some ppl buying the units they might want and find best and most powerful. Re: Crossing the Rubicon on "Unreliable"

Whoa, peace guys - you're both valued and respected members of this community. :) This Kondi's statement I don't want the OoB player to buy 6 Tigers, 4 Jagdpanther and 5 17cm K18 for easy win, I want OoB to be the most realistic simulator as possible is what I think, too, and imo Unreliable -trait h...

Re: Crossing the Rubicon on "Unreliable"

Ironically the devs reduced the severity of its effects in 716 or 718 (can't remember which) but then some guy complained that he wanted the old severe trait back, so the devs gave in and put it back in 810, completely ignoring me and you and other people who don't like the trait, grrrr We all know...
