The terrain channeled his infantry heavy list towards supported infantry backed by batteries on hills but his one hot cav BG wiped out a light battery backed by a led infantry regiment supported by a Reiter on the other flank.

How about planning and practicing to keep your skirmishers from getting charged from the flank or rear?

That way they can always evade to their rear and the rest of us won't have to keeping writing/learning new rules.
