My PC has the Windows Vista O/S. Perhaps you need to try to "recreate" this problem using a Vista ( or older ) O/S ??? I stick my quick beginners question in this thread:

In a new world game my cities revolted when I built new units or improvements. Their happiness was fine in each of those occasions.
Is there a way to see whether a build order will stress them too much beforehand?

I remember from other wargames that Indian Archers had large swords to fight in melee and were not meant to act like skirmishers but to fight in formation.
